House lamp made from a plastic bottle master class

Self-made lamps have many advantages. They are cheap, or rather, almost for nothing, they look original, and you can choose the design to your liking. In addition, the process of creating a beautiful chandelier or table lamp is fascinating. We will provide you with photo examples for inspiration.

We wrote that glass bottles can be used to make a fence for a flower bed and even build the walls of a house. Empty wine bottles and containers for other types of alcohol are good for more than just this. Lamps made from them turn out to be very attractive.

The simplest option for creating such a decorative lighting device is to use LED strips and garlands placed inside the bottle. Of course, many will think that the decor will turn out to be too New Year’s, but this is not so. It all depends on how exactly you decorate the bottle itself.

Important! Working with glass bottles requires care, given that you will need to drill a hole or cut off the bottom to make the lamp.

If you decide to make a chandelier out of bottles, you can use an old lamp as a basis. Or simply hang the bottles, for example, on a beautiful wooden block. There are options for using both identical bottles and completely different ones, on wires of different lengths - the field for experimentation is very wide.

Glass bottles are also used to create table lamps. In this case, the decor inside the bottle-stand for the lampshade can be changed depending on the mood - in the summer, for example, shells, in the winter - Christmas tree tinsel.

Lamps made from bottles are also suitable for outdoor use. True, in this case they often take plastic containers.

And if you absolutely don’t want to deal with electricity, you can turn ordinary bottles into beautiful candlesticks.

Making a bottle lamp with your own hands is quite easy. Of course, it’s not as easy as folding a paper airplane, you still have to deal with a drill if you want to do everything beautifully, but still not as difficult as building a chair, for example. We will describe the general principle of creating a lamp from a bottle, which you can customize to suit your own ideas. Good luck!

Required materials and tools:

  • drill and glass drill bit, or
  • diamond blade for an angle grinder (if you plan to cut off the bottom of the bottle),
  • any adhesive that can be used to cover the sharp edges of the drilled hole so that they do not cut the wire,
  • a garland or lamp with a socket (depending on your purposes),
  • if desired, various decorations such as lampshades, etc.

How to make a lamp from a bottle with your own hands: step-by-step instructions

First of all, cool the bottle: this will make the drilling process easier.

In order to drill or cut glass, you need to be careful and careful. If suddenly one of your friends works with glass, you can contact this person; Otherwise, don’t be lazy to buy a glass drill: this way you will avoid unpleasant surprises in the form of a cracked or burst surface of the bottle.

Once the bottle has cooled, mark the point where you plan to make the hole. Be patient: it is better to drill slowly, allowing the drill to cool from time to time. The same goes for an angle grinder with a diamond blade.

Having drilled the hole, you have completed the most time-consuming step of the entire job. Now you need to remove the sharp edges of the hole so that they do not cut the lamp wire. To do this, you can use sandpaper, sanding off the sharp edges, or any adhesive mass - for example, plasticine. For wide holes, a custom-sized rubber faucet seal is also suitable.

The final step remains - either insert the lamp with the base into the neck of the bottle, or fill the bottle with a garland, stretching the wire through the drilled hole to the socket. If you cut off the bottom, you need to pull the light bulb wire through the neck of the bottle, leaving the light bulb itself inside the bottle. Essentially, the lamp from the bottle is ready. All that remains is to decorate it: hang a lampshade, paint it, etc.

And to make it easier for you to decide on the design of your future lamp, we have collected 27 photos of bottle lamps for you. Enjoy watching!

Many people wonder whether it’s worth taking on such a task, or maybe it’s easier to go to the store and buy a chandelier? This decorative element is a common product, and in stores that specialize in selling such things, you can choose a chandelier to suit your taste, as well as for any interior style.

Those who like to stand out even in small things should ask how to make a chandelier from plastic bottles. In addition, this is a cheap and exclusive way to decorate any room in the apartment.

.

Decor options

One of the options for decorating a chandelier that you can make yourself from bottles is colored plastic. The best option is plastic bottles of different or even dark colors

: A chandelier will reflect too much light if it is made entirely of clear plastic bottles.

Important!

If you don’t have large quantities of colored plastic bottles on hand, but only transparent ones, you can repaint them in the color that you like best.

Of course, the optimal and most suitable shape of the lamp is a ball

.

Blanks for crafts

If you decide to make chandeliers from plastic bottles, first you need to purchase blanks, as well as buy those elements with which you plan to decorate it. Details that can be useful when creating a chandelier from plastic bottles are wire, satin, plastic, toys, artificial butterflies

etc. You will also need
wooden slats and wire as fastening
: this frame will hold the entire chandelier.

Important!

Think through every little detail. You can even draw a sketch and several chandelier design options in order to choose the best one. This will save you time and effort, besides, it will be possible to better understand what exactly you want to see in your room and what will look better in the overall interior.

Chandelier in the form of petals

Materials needed to create a chandelier from plastic bottles In order to create a chandelier from plastic bottles with your own hands, you will need to prepare:

  • clean plastic bottles (cleaned of stickers);
  • nail scissors;
  • a new light bulb and possibly a socket;
  • blowtorch;
  • wire (you need thin and thick);
  • soldering iron;
  • regular scissors;
  • gloves to protect hands;
  • chandelier frame.

First, you will need to trim the top of the bottles, and then cut the resulting ring. This will make it easier to cut out leaves from them. To make the edges more beautiful and neat, use manicure scissors rather than ordinary scissors.

: The work ahead is quite painstaking. After this, you need to treat the ends of the resulting leaves with a blowtorch.

Remember!

It is very important to use protective gloves to avoid getting burned or injured when preparing sheets for the plastic bottle chandelier.

To create a visual effect of naturalness, it is worth heating the front side with a blowtorch, and at the moment when the leaf is well heated, you can make veins on it using a knife.

You can choose the shape of the sheets yourself. The leaves that look the most beautiful are those that are similar in shape to maple.

.

After all the leaves have been prepared, you can proceed to the stage of attaching them to the frame. Thin wire needs to be cut into small pieces. After this, take a leaf and melt its back side. While it's warm, glue the wire to it. After such work done, you should have full-fledged leaves with sticks.

At the next stage, you will need a large and long wire so that the leaves can be collected into one branch. All branches can be carefully screwed to a long wire. The resulting chandelier can now be mounted on the ceiling.

Insert the socket and screw in the light bulb. Your chandelier is ready!

Appreciate: even in such a small area it is possible to create full-fledged comfortable housing with maximum functionality.

Master class No. 2. Chandelier made of bottles

If you've ever been on the phone without noticing something you've painted or cut into pieces, check out how it can be used to create extremely original pieces, like this bottle chandelier.

Materials and tools:

  • 10 small plastic bottles (transparent, same or different colors);
  • plastic frame for a light bulb (can be found at a hardware store that sells electrical goods);
  • screws (they may be included with the frame);
  • 10 zip ties;
  • crosshead screwdriver;
  • big scissors.

Technological process

Step 1.

  1. We take the bottles, remove the caps (we won’t need them) and cut off the bottom of them, about a third of the height of the bottle. We begin to cut them lengthwise, as shown in the photo, 1-2 cm wide.
  2. Don't try to make even stripes , this is of no use here. But you should cut it all the way to the neck - this is necessary for later securing them to the frame and to each other.

Waste material can also be useful

Thus, using unnecessary material, you can easily create an original lamp

at home. A chandelier made with your own hands from plastic bottles will look beautiful and will be suitable for decorating any room. It is important to decide exactly what shape you want to give the lamp, as well as choose the right color scheme.

Originality is in fashion now, and therefore you should not limit your imagination. You can, based on these options, come up with something of your own, more unusual. Thus, not only you will admire the beauty of the chandelier, but also the guests who will come to your home.

We all love beautiful lamps. They are an excellent option for visually transforming the interior of almost any apartment. The most interesting thing is that it’s not at all difficult to make a lamp from a bottle with your own hands. Let's look at several ways to implement such an unusual idea.

Original lamp from a wine bottle

Threads and ropes

An amazing idea for making a light mat for those who knit. A regular single crochet stitch, inside there are plastic pieces with LEDs. You definitely can’t buy this anywhere!

Wrap string or thread around several balloons. The threads must first be soaked in PVA glue. When the product hardens, remove the balls. Insert battery-powered or mains-powered lamps through the holes between the threads. New Year's mood is guaranteed!

These New Year's lights in the shape of clouds are made of cotton wool and threads (battery-powered garlands are hidden inside). Perfect for decorating a child's room.

The dyed gauze and the garland turn... into an unusual and unique decoration.

DIY wine bottle lamp

Wine is one of the most popular alcoholic drinks in the world. There is no doubt that in almost every home at least one bottle is bought for every holiday.

This is interesting: After the wine is drunk, the container becomes unnecessary and is simply thrown away. Luckily, old bottles can be turned into interesting lamps that can add a magical touch to your living room or bedroom. They look especially beautiful in complete darkness. Let's find out how to make such a lamp!

Step-by-step instruction

1. Select the appropriate material. Collect all the empty wine bottles and select a few of the same ones to use to make a lamp. You can take different bottles, but in this case the composition will not be complete. They can be any color. A lamp made from a frosted bottle and a brighter LED garland will look especially beautiful.

2.Remove the label. The label must be carefully removed from each bottle. For best results, use a sponge and warm water.

Washing wine bottles

3.Rinse the bottles. They need to be thoroughly treated both outside and inside. After this step, leave the bottles to dry completely.

4. We outline a place for the wires. It is necessary to mark the place from which the wires of our lamp will come out. It is better to make a hole in the side wall near the bottom. This way your lamp will look much neater and more aesthetically pleasing.

5. Prepare the water. We will need it to make a hole in the bottle.

6.Power tools. Prepare in advance the tool you will use to make our hole for the wires. A diamond crown is best suited for such painstaking work. This way you can do everything carefully, and the hole will be smooth.

Use clay to drill a hole

7.Use clay. We make a cake from clay and apply it to the intended hole. While drilling, you will need to occasionally slowly and carefully pour water into our hole. This is necessary to ensure that the bottle does not overheat and crack.

8.Drilling. Drilling must be done very carefully so as not to damage the bottle. After completing this process, remove the clay and rinse the bottle again.

The hole must be sanded

9.Use sandpaper. To make the hole smooth, you need to go over it with sandpaper. This way you will sharpen sharp edges and protect yourself from possible injury. This is also necessary in order not to damage the wires that will come out of this hole. Select a piece of sandpaper whose grit is 150 mm.

10.Re-cleaning the bottle. After the work is done, I wash it again.

11.LED lights or garlands. Take LED lights or garland. Single-color lights will look beautiful. But you can also use a multi-colored garland. It all depends on your preferences.

We insert the garland into the bottle through the hole

12.Place the lights in the bottle. Insert the garland into the bottle so that its plug comes out of the hole made.

13. Gasket in the bottle hole. You can use a special gasket to secure the wires. This is optional, but it will help prevent accidental damage to the wiring. In addition, with such a gasket the appearance of the lamp will look much better.

Insert the rubber gasket

14. Fasten the wires. After installing the gasket, you need to secure the wires well.

15.Connect. After the work has been done, you can see what you got. Plug in your new lamp. If you don’t like the way the garland looks, you can carefully straighten it. To avoid having to disassemble the lamp, take a thin stick and use it to eliminate any imperfections.

Wine bottle lamp is ready

16.Done. You can decorate the bottle with decorative ribbons or laces (optional). We hope you are satisfied with the result!

New Year's lamp made from a wine bottle
SOURCE

Decorating your home for the New Year is in your hands. Bright electric garlands and Christmas tree compositions will always give the room a festive look. I offer one more idea: how to make a small New Year’s floor lamp with your own hands. Or rather, I’ll tell you how I made such a New Year’s decoration - an interior item for myself, using the decoupage technique. Everyone liked my DIY New Year's craft.

I had a blue glass wine bottle.

I soaked it in water and washed off the paper labels. Then I wiped the outside of the bottle with nail polish remover. This is necessary to degrease the surface before decoupage.

I picked up a New Year's napkin with a picture of a snow-covered city and tore off a fragment of it so large that it would completely wrap around the bottle. I removed the bottom two white layers of the napkin (for decoupage you only need the layer with the image).

I primed the area for gluing the napkin with white acrylic paint.

Moreover, I tried to whiten the surface so that the white color was only under the houses.

To glue the napkin in a circle without folds, I used a special decoupage product. I turned a piece of napkin face down and sprayed the back with Maimeri decoupage spray adhesive. This spray adhesive creates a sticky surface on thin paper and allows you to consistently stick a napkin onto any surface without creases (and you can tear off and re-glue the napkin several times).

So, I applied a sticky napkin to the primed surface, positioning the design so that the whitened areas coincided with the light fragments of the napkin.

Gradually I wrapped the napkin around the bottle so that the edges met.

When the bottle was completely wrapped in a napkin, I carefully tore off the extra centimeter to align the edges.

Since the spray adhesive used gives only temporary fixation to the napkin, you need to start decoupage. I used acrylic varnish to secure the napkin to the bottle. In my case, the varnish acted as decoupage glue. He soaked the napkin and stuck it firmly to the bottle.

After the varnish had dried, I sanded the edges of the napkin with sandpaper (exactly in the place where the starry sky meets the neck of the bottle). Since the color of the glass almost completely matches the background of the napkin, I deliberately did not paint the entire bottle white. Therefore, in my decoupage it turned out that the napkin smoothly merged with the bottle.

To completely hide the transition from decoupage to glass, I painted the entire blue part with liquid stained glass paint (I accidentally found this color). It is actually transparent and did not obscure the glass. I recommend that if you don’t have stained glass paint, mix regular acrylic with a drying retardant (it will add a little transparency).

I “refreshed” some details in the fragment with the help of glitter: toys and a star on the Christmas tree, windows in the houses.

I painted the snow on the starry sky with a white acrylic outline.

At the very end of the work, I varnished the entire decoupage with acrylic varnish in several layers.

I made sure to dry each layer of varnish well. To make the last coat of polish shiny, I sprinkled manicure glitter into the polish.

I applied a thin layer of glitter polish. After drying, the entire bottle began to shine and sparkle, like a real New Year's accessory.

However, my bottle should turn into a real New Year's floor lamp. My husband used a DREMEL tool with a diamond drill to drill a hole in the bottom of the bottle (drilled at the junction of the napkin).

I prepared a New Year's electric garland with small light bulbs, which operates in several flashing modes.

When turned on, the garland has three colors of light bulbs.

The hole in the bottle is just the right diameter so that a garland can be inserted into it. I inserted 100 small garland bulbs into the hole, while the mode switching relay and plug remained outside.

We turn on the bottle, that is, a DIY New Year's floor lamp, into a power outlet. We set the desired blinking mode of the lights and celebrate the New Year with a very simple and original handmade product.

Maybe you can come up with some other uses for empty bottles, I’d be glad to hear about your experience. I hope that my idea will help someone decorate their interior before the holiday.

Necessary materials to create a lamp

To make a lamp according to the scheme proposed below, you will need several plastic bottles of various sizes. So, for the base you can use a large bottle, for example, a five-liter one. And for additional decor - smaller bottles. It is important that they have the same color and size.

Base for lamp made from plastic bottles

In addition to the bottles themselves, you will also need to prepare an electric socket, a sufficiently long wire, a plug and the light bulb itself.

Important information: Traditional incandescent lamps are a bad option for our lamp. The fact is that in the process of heating the glass, the plastic can begin to melt, releasing an extremely unpleasant odor. In the worst case, this can even lead to a fire. To make a lamp from plastic bottles at home, you need to purchase exclusively halogen light bulbs (economical). Their advantage is that during operation there is no strong heating.

Marking a bottle lamp

Step one: preparing the base for the lamp

The basis of the lamp will be a large plastic bottle or a five-liter bottle. It is necessary to cut off the lower part (bottom) from it. Leave the top of the container intact; an electrical wire will be passed through the neck later.

Marked base for lamp

Then you need to measure the diameter of the necks of other plastic bottles that will be used for decoration. You can simply attach them to the main container and use a marker to draw circles of the appropriate size. It is advisable to increase the diameter by a few millimeters so that later you can screw the bottles into the side holes without any problems.

Holes in a bottle lamp

Helpful Hint: The easiest way to cut holes for the side bottles is to use a wallpaper knife. But if it is not there, you can use ordinary sharp scissors.

Step two: preparing plastic bottles for decoration

Plastic containers for decoration are prepared as follows. First, their bottom is cut off, then the workpiece is evenly cut into thin strips (you can see the approximate thickness in the photo). The strips are cut right down to the neck - the thickest part of the plastic bottle.

Cutting a bottle to decorate a lamp

Each piece is then heated over a gas burner until it melts, giving it a disordered and chaotic appearance. It's not difficult to do this. Firstly, narrow strips of plastic, in any case, under the influence of high temperatures begin to change their shape, bending in the most bizarre way. If you want to correct the shape, use special tweezers or pliers.

Cut bottle for lamp decoration

Step three: assembling the lamp

After melting, all prepared bottle blanks are carefully screwed into the base. All that remains is to make a small hole in the base cover with a heated soldering iron, a special burner or any other available method.

Melting of plastic bottles for a lamp made from plastic bottles

An electrical wire is threaded through this hole and connected to the socket. And for ease of use, you can also attach a loop made of wire. This way it will be convenient to hang the lamp in the right place.

Insert decorative bottles into the holes

At the last stage, an electric plug is screwed to the second end of the wire, and a halogen light bulb is inserted into the threaded socket. That's all - an unusual lamp made from plastic bottles is ready for use. Hang it by the loop, plug it in and check it out!

Insert the cartridge

If you like the result, you can try to make a few more similar home lamps using plastic bottles of different colors for them. The result will be decorative and very attractive lighting, which, due to the special decor, will shine in an unusual way on the walls and ceiling of your room.

Don't rush to throw away empty glass and plastic bottles. You can make many useful household things from them. We invite you to learn how to make a lamp from a bottle.

Master class No. 3. Lamp - bright flowers

In addition to a chandelier or lamp, which itself emits light, there is such an original solution as reflected light. And if you want to use it for your needs, come here! This master class describes the wonderful idea of creating unusual light using flowers from plastic bottles.

Materials and tools:

  • many bottles of any colors and sizes;
  • knife or scissors;
  • spray paints suitable for painting plastic (use combinations of your favorite colors);
  • long bamboo sticks (or any other frame for the finished flower panel);
  • old newspapers;
  • wire (golden);
  • awl or paperclip.

The process of assembling a lamp from a bottle

Step 1.

Let's prepare the bottles. All of them need to be washed well, along with the lids, they will also come in handy. Remove the labels from the bottles and clean any traces of glue, if any.

Step 2.

  1. We cut off the bottom of all bottles with a knife or scissors (you can later make flower cores from them). Make bottles of different heights - then they will open into flowers of different diameters.
  2. Next, we cut the bottles into strips of different thicknesses up to the neck.
  3. If the bottle is not straight, it is better to use large scissors or cut with a knife, but do not leave nicks or bend the bottle - the flowers should turn out neat.

The size and shape of the petals is at your discretion, bevel the corners, make patterns - whatever your inner voice tells you.

Step 3.

  1. We spread newspapers or unnecessary paper on the floor so as not to stain the floor when painting. It is better to put on gloves and work clothes before work, because paint particles from the can will still fly apart.
  2. We take a spray can, a flower and start coloring. You can spray the inside of the bottle first, then the outside.
  3. You can paint only on one side to save paint. Paint bottles without gaps, including caps and bottoms (they can be painted separately in a different color).

After dyeing, when you have achieved the desired color, set the flowers aside to dry so that they do not touch each other.

Step 4.

We take the bottoms of the bottles to make holes in them for fastening. We heat the awl needle or the straightened tip of a paper clip over a fire - this will make it much easier to make holes in the plastic. We pierce the bottoms of the bottles in two places, like a button.

Step 5.

After the flowers, bottoms and corks have dried, we fasten them in various variations, here again your imagination rules! We pass the wire through the holes in the bottom and fasten it to the neck of the bottle. We simply screw the corks onto the bottles, and the wire can be screwed onto the threads. This is necessary for the cohesion of the entire composition.

Simple table lamp

To do this you will need:

  • a suitable glass bottle for wine, champagne, whiskey or cognac;
  • a socket with an electrical cord on which there is a socket and a switch;
  • ready-made lampshade;
  • bulb;
  • rubber plug-stabilizer;
  • screwdriver.

The procedure for creating a table lamp-lamp:

  1. Cut the rubber stopper so that it fits easily into the neck of the bottle (picture 1).
  2. Screw the socket to the plug and connect the wires (pictures 2 and 3).
  3. Make an arc-mount to which the lampshade will be attached and screw in the light bulb (picture 4).
  4. Insert the plug into the socket and turn on the lamp (picture 5).

Your DIY bottle lamp is ready!

The principle is the same, but the design is different

Another option for creating a table lamp, but different in execution and design.

Instructions: how to make lamps from bottles (photo below):

  1. Take a glass bottle and make a round hole at the bottom, closer to the bottom, using a glass drill.
  2. Make a hole in the cork and thread an electrical cord through it, and screw the thread on one side.
  3. Screw on the decorative cartridge.
  4. Place the cord in the bottle and close the neck with the stopper.
  5. Pull the cord outward from the hole in the bottle.
  6. Screw in the light bulb.

The original bottle lamp is ready!

Peculiarities

Homemade lamps have many advantages over purchased ones.

  • Firstly , by creating a decorative lamp, you harm nature less by reusing items that could be thrown away.
  • Secondly , making a lamp from plastic or glass bottles is much easier than it seems.

Even if you have never done needlework, you can make an interesting and unusual lampshade by following simple instructions.

  • Another advantage of such lamps is that you can make them the way you want to see them. Use your imagination and the advice of designers, and you can get a truly unusual decorative element for any of your rooms.
  • Lamps made of glass or plastic will become a real decoration of any room.

Pendant lamps made from bottles - remove the bottom

Such chandeliers will fit perfectly into the interior of a kitchen, living room, bar, country house or cafe.

To make them, you first need to cut off the bottom of the bottle:

  1. Take wool thread, solvent, bottle, lighter, sandpaper, bowl of ice water.
  2. Cut a long piece of thread and soak it in solvent.
  3. Around the bottle, in the place that needs to be cut, tie several circles of woolen thread.
  4. Hold the bottle so that it is parallel to the ground and light the thread.
  5. The bottle must be carefully rotated around its axis for several minutes.
  6. When the fire goes out, immediately plunge the bottle into ice water.
  7. Carefully remove the bottom.
  8. Grind down the edges of the bottle using sandpaper.

Making a chandelier

When the bottom is cut off, you can begin assembling the lamp:

  1. Take a cartridge or plug and insert it into the neck.
  2. Connect the cord.
  3. Screw in the light bulb.
  4. Hang a bottle lamp from the ceiling using a hook or make a special mount.

Thus, you can make lampshades instead of the usual chandeliers. To do this, simply measure the diameter of the bottle neck and see if it fits the size of the finished cartridge. If not, then cut off the neck in the same way as you removed the bottom of the bottle. Hang the finished lampshade in place of the old one.

Possible luminaire design

It is not necessary to make a lamp from an ordinary bottle. It can be used as a basis for implementing interesting ideas and ideas.

Design options:

  • Paint the bottle with acrylic paint. You can draw a picture or make a stained glass window. A lot of lamps made from bottles, identical in shape, but painted in different colors, look very beautiful.
  • You can wrap the bottle tightly with thread or yarn.
  • Cover the bottle and make an engraving.
  • If you are making a table lamp, then inside the bottle you can pour coffee beans, multi-colored salt, seasonings, cereals, pasta, and so on. Such a lamp will not only serve its intended purpose, but will also serve as an excellent decor for the kitchen.
  • There is much more you can do.
  • If you have large perfume jars, they will also serve as an excellent material for creating lamps.
  • To make a pendant lamp, it is not necessary to fix the cartridge or stopper in the neck of the bottle. You can insert the cord completely into the container, and place all the other parts under the narrow top. This bottle will look more like a lampshade. Only then do you need to think carefully about fixing the electrical cord.

Lamps made from garlands

Do you want the garland to decorate the room all year round, and not just for the New Year? This can be done very simply.

Master class on creating luminous decor:

  1. Choose the right glass bottle, Christmas garland, sandpaper and drill.
  2. Remove all labels from the bottle.
  3. Secure the bottle and carefully drill a small hole at the bottom. The cord from the garland should pass through it freely. Work carefully, because it is very easy not only to get hurt, but also to break the bottle.
  4. Use sandpaper to smooth the edges of the hole to prevent injury later.
  5. Push the garland inside the bottle through the drilled hole. You need to place the end where there is no plug and mode switching remote control. Try to insert the garland so that it curls inside the bottle.

All is ready! If you wish, you can decorate the bottle in some way. For example, draw a picture and attach a ribbon or bow to the neck.

This lamp is very safe, because the garland will definitely not melt anything.

Christmas lights made of paper

Do you have a simple LED garland? Decorate it and turn it into a cozy lamp for the New Year holidays. You will need:

  • scrapbooking paper;
  • plastic cups;
  • glue;
  • knife;
  • and some time.

You can transform an ordinary garland using origami paper lanterns. Such a lamp will provide a diffused, cozy, warm light.

For a children's New Year, a lamp in the shape of bright candies is suitable.

You can create such a shimmering masterpiece from crepe paper.

Ordinary lace napkins can turn into a wonderful New Year's wreath.

Lampshade made of plastic

Some will say that such a lamp made from plastic bottles is unsafe and has an unaesthetic appearance. In urban environments this is true. But it is ideal for a gazebo in the country.

Master class: how to make a lamp from a plastic bottle with your own hands:

  1. Prepare a socket with an electrical cord and a switch, a light bulb (you need an LED, an economy one or a regular one, but of low power), a five-liter water bottle, a glue gun, pliers, plastic spoons, a screwdriver, and a construction knife.
  2. Use pliers to completely bite off the handle of the spoon so that only one oval part remains.
  3. Cut off the bottom of the eggplant using a construction knife.
  4. Connect to the network.
  5. Once it's ready, start gluing on the spoons. The first row goes from the bottom, and all subsequent rows slightly overlap the previous ones.
  6. Cover the entire container in this way.
  7. Glue the spoons together, stacking them one on top to form a ring.
  8. Attach the cartridge and cord to the neck of the bottle.
  9. Glue a ring of spoons onto the neck.
  10. Screw in the light bulb.

The lamp shade is ready! If desired, it can be painted. To ensure that the paint applies evenly, it is better to paint each spoon separately, and then paste them over the eggplant. It is most convenient to use spray paint. This way you will get less dirty and the layer will lie evenly on the surface of the spoons. Plus, it dries faster.

Master class No. 4. Chandelier made of plastic flowers

If you always want to see bright bouquets in your home, then consider this non-standard option: a multi-colored floral chandelier made from plastic bottles, made by yourself. Look what happens, and you definitely won’t pass by!

Materials and tools

Plastic bottles (thin plastic, soft ones are best, they are also the cheapest);

  • spray paint of one or different colors;
  • 2 metal rings - large and small (can be bought at a craft store);
  • scissors,
  • old newspapers;
  • gloves;
  • gold wire.

Technology

Step 1.

Let's prepare the bottles. We don't need lids from them. We cut off the flat part of the bottles, i.e. practically cut it in half, as shown in the photo.

Step 2.

Cut the top of the bottle into strips approximately 1 cm wide all the way to the neck. The stripes do not have to be even and the same in length - these will be the petals of a flower, so you determine the shape and length yourself.

We also cut the bottom of the bottle. The only difference is that the core of the flower here will be the bottom of the bottle. We cut all the bottles in this way and bend the petals in different directions.

Step 3.

  1. We spread old newspapers or unnecessary paper on the table, put on gloves so as not to get dirty when painting, and proceed to the most creative part of making the lamp.
  2. Place a flower on the newspaper and spray paint on it. You can paint both sides or one flower in different colors - as you like. The master class describes an autumn bouquet, so there are more colors in orange shades.

After painting, set the flowers aside to allow the paint to dry.

Step 4.

  • Let's move on to making the chandelier itself. Let's take a hoop of smaller diameter, wire and a flower. By threading the wire into the neck of the bottle and wrapping it around the hoop, we secure the flower to the frame.
  • Then we take the second flower and do the same, pressing it tightly to the first. This is done so that the entire rim is filled with flowers for splendor.

Step 5.

We attach the flowers to a hoop of larger diameter. You can create unique compositions by mixing flowers of different colors and sizes at your discretion.

Step 6.

  1. We easily connect the hoops together with three pieces of wire. Measure the distance between the levels of the chandelier and cut the wires with excess for winding.
  2. First, wrap it tightly around one hoop, then, bending the wire, wrap the other end around the second hoop. You can use not wire, but, for example, twine.
  3. Measure along the arc of the hoop about a third of the length of the circle and wind the second piece of wire. After measuring another third, connect the hoops with a third piece of wire or twine.

Check the work - if you did everything correctly, then there should be no distortions.

All that remains is to hang this chandelier in the most visible place, and then all your guests and household members will feel a bit of celebration in the house every time they look at this creation!

These little joys imperceptibly penetrate into your life - bright crafts, like lamps or chandeliers with your own hands, made with soul, bring joy to you and your loved ones every day. In addition, such original ideas can serve as a pleasant and memorable gift for one of your friends. Hurry up to create!
