Cardboard boots can be great!
Even a child can do the simplest decoration option. On the other hand, it gives room for imagination: the shape and decor of the product depend only on you. Prepare materials for creativity:

thick paper or cardboard;
scissors;
PVA glue";
a simple pencil and eraser;
ribbon for hanging.

Instructions

Fold the sheet in half. On the back side, draw a felt boot so that its inner side coincides with the fold of the paper. Cut out the design along the outline and unfold it. You will get a pair of boots connected to each other.
Fold the white paper in half too. Draw the fur trim of the felt boots - a rectangle with softened corners, one side of which falls on the fold of the sheet. Transfer the design to the fabric. Cut out the part, unfold it and glue it to the boot shaft from the back side.
Glue the boots together, leaving space for gifts inside.
For decoration, use pencils, felt-tip pens or glitter paints, paper or fabric snowflakes, sequins, pebbles, bows, and so on.
Fold the ribbon into a loop and sew it to the corner of the craft for fastening.

A colorful boot can be made from any thick fabric of a suitable color. You will also need:

braid with pompoms (you can make them yourself);
thread;
thin tape;
needle;
scissors;
paper and pencil.

Instructions

Make a stocking pattern, transfer it to the back of the fabric and cut out two identical pieces.
Connect them from the wrong side, turn them outside and hem the edges.
Decorate the boot with pom-pom braid and attach several balls along the length of the sock.
Add a ribbon loop, fill the stocking with gifts, and hang it in a visible place.

Felt decor is in the arsenal of every needlewoman. The material is suitable for small and large crafts, including boots. You will need:

a large piece of white, red, green or blue felt;
some white material;
cardboard or paper;
pencil;
threads and scissors;
glue "Moment";
thin satin ribbon.

Instructions

Draw and cut out full size templates for the base and top of the boots. If you plan to make an applique from felt, depict these details.
Cut out the base template, attach it to the back of the fabric and trace it. Then cut out two identical pieces and sew them on the sides by hand or on a machine.
Repeat with the boot templates and white felt. Wrap the resulting rectangles around the top of the boot and sew, turning the edges outward.
From the remaining felt, cut out decorative elements: snowflakes, holly branches, red flowers, silhouettes of birds. Glue them to the base.

bias tape with lurex;
adhesive web with a paper base;
cardboard and scissors;
canvas;
red satin cord;
red and green floss threads;
pins;
iron.

Place a soft cloth on the table and a cobweb on top, leaving the paper part at the bottom.
Cut the ribbons to the required length, lay half on the web diagonally, and secure with pins. Thread the remaining ribbons through the already secured ones to create a kind of weaving. Follow the same pattern to make the second part of the boot.
Iron the base to secure the ribbons to the web and remove wrinkles.
Cut out two identical boots from cardboard. Apply them one by one to the front side of the blanks, remove the paper part of the web and place the tape “boots” on the canvas. Iron them again, finish the edges of the fabric and sew the details.
Decorate the edges with Lurex trim and the tops with treated canvas with Christmas embroidery (snowflakes or holly branches):

For work we will need:

1.5 liter plastic bottle.
Cardboard.
Styrofoam.
Textile.
Needle and thread.
Glue.

We begin the manufacturing process by creating a boot. For this we need a regular 1.5 liter plastic bottle. Dry, clean and without labels. We cut it into three parts: neck, middle and bottom. We cut off the neck to the part of the bottle that is narrowed. We won't need it. The middle of the bottle is an even cylinder, from which we will make the boot top. And the bottom of the bottle - from it we will make the toe of a boot.

Next we will need any thick cardboard. We take our blanks, put them side by side on cardboard and trace them along the contour. We cut out the future sole.

Next we need fabric. We are used to the fact that boots are usually red, but my boot is more likely for the Snow Maiden, so I took blue fabric.

We cut out a circle from fabric with a larger diameter than our plastic blank. In order to cover the “sock”, tucking the edges of the fabric inward.

Now we need a needle and thread.

Elegant felt boot

Step-by-step instructions for making a felt boot for the New Year
A Christmas boot is not necessarily a felt boot! A ladies' boot with a pointed toe and heel will complement the New Year's interior just as well. It can be used as a stand for. To make a craft, prepare the following materials:

brown or gray felt;
white cardboard or paper;
scissors;
dense red and white threads;
large needle;
round beige buttons;
bells;
white lace;
red stones or beads for decoration.

Instructions

Draw the outline of a high boot on paper or cardboard. Using the template, cut out two identical boots from felt.
Sew buttons to each one using red threads and glue on pebbles.
Attach the lace ribbon to the inside of the boot and fold it outward. Sew bells along the edges.
Sew the boots by hand using large stitches of white thread.
Sew a large bell to a long sock. Place gifts for relatives or fir branches inside.

Choose the template you need. You will need it for two of the three workshops offered below.

Method number 1: decorative sock

This New Year's boot is not intended for gifts. It can be made single or double and certainly decorated with applique. A felt sock looks best. Fleece is softer, so you can additionally thicken it with cardboard or a double layer of fabric. You can also use velvet, velor, thick cotton fabric.

To decorate a New Year's boot, take felt, fleece, floss or yarn, beads, and ready-made patches.

You can simply print them out and cut them out first from paper and then from fabric. Or take it as a basis and just draw it.

Use it as a support and come up with your own design.

Here are some ideas for different DIY New Year's boots. Use them for inspiration or just repeat them.

Use acrylic paints and white thread to embroider and apply the design to the sock.

Place the two patterns together and make a decorative seam along the edge (mark in advance). Decorate the boot with pom-poms.

Cut out several decorative elements from felt or fleece using templates and sew them to the outside of the Christmas stocking. Complete with beads, rhinestones and decorative buttons.

Make a sock pattern using an unwanted sweater or scarf. Decorate with Santa Claus made from a cotton pad, a piece of felt and a hat (use the same fabric for it). Don't forget to add white trim and sew on buttons. You can decorate the sock with embroidery.

These are just a few options, you can choose any of them. It is not necessary to make a double decorative Christmas stocking – a single one will do just fine.

Any of these crafts can decorate a door, Christmas tree, windows, or simply hang on the walls on the eve of the New Year.

Method number 2: sock for gifts

The New Year's boot for gifts needs to be sewn thicker so that it is reliable. Use the patterns suggested above. Take them as a basis, but the sewing technique will be a little more complex than in the first master class.

Choose a suitable thick fabric (you can find interesting decorative options in the creativity departments). Choose a filler. Batting, thin padding polyester or even fleece will do.

We cut out two identical blanks for the New Year's sock according to the template. Also use these stencils to make two pieces for the lining (those from which you will sew the inside of the boot).

The filling can only be sewn to the front part of the sock, because the decor will be located on it.

Sew the loop right away. First, cut out a rectangular piece from the fabric, then fold the ends inward, iron and fold in half.

Fold the front of the sock and the filling together. Sew around 0.5 cm from the edge.

Place the lining piece with the right side facing you. Sew the loop, retreating approximately 2-3 cm from the edge on the heel side.

Then repeat the procedure for the second inner (the loop is sewn to it) and the second outer part of the sock. Place them with the right sides facing you, and then sew along the top (the seam should also be inside).

Take two blanks and straighten them so that the outer part (the part that will be visible when the sock is ready) is on the inside.

Sew the parts around the entire perimeter using a machine. Step back about 1 cm from the edge. Don't forget to leave a hole in the lining so that the sock can be turned inside out.

On the rounded parts of the toe (or around the entire perimeter), make small notches in the form of zigzags or triangles. This is necessary so that the inverted boot does not puff up due to the gathered fabric.

Turn out the New Year's stocking and mend the hole through which you did this. Then tuck the lining into the boot. There you go!

Decorate the resulting New Year's stocking with any stripes, appliqués or three-dimensional figures of Christmas characters - sew or glue them. Complete the craft with fur, pom-poms, sparkles, rhinestones and other decor.

Method number 3: boot from a plastic bottle

Instead of hanging Santa's boot from the fireplace or on the wall, you can simply place it under the tree. Place a gift or something delicious in it. In addition, this stable sock can be placed on a festive table and made into a vase, napkin holder or “hat” for forfeits.

2. On cardboard, draw the base of the boot (foot), corresponding in size to the bottle.

3. Wrap the cut out bottom of the boot in fabric. Then get ready to wrap the cloth around the plastic. For the front (toe): Measure the length from the bottom of the plastic to the edge to get the radius (measured length plus 2cm as tolerance) for the circle enclosing the plastic.

3. Sew a 1cm circle using a running stitch. Then stitch along the edge of the fabric before stretching it over the plastic, pulling tightly to wrap the plastic inside.

4. Move to the back of the boot (heel + ankle). We calculate the correct size (size = sock circle length * boot height length).

5. Wrap the plastic with the cut fabric.
The tradition came to us from the West to decorate the house for the New Year and Christmas with decorative sewn boots.
It’s very easy to make them yourself, and besides, such a boot is an excellent packaging for a small gift, which is not very convenient to give just like that. And any little thing placed in it (for example, a chocolate bar) will become a bright and memorable gift, it’s been verified!

I will tell you about my experience in implementing Alexandra Alexandrovna Nikulina’s idea of simplified sewing of such boots.

So, first, let's decide on the pattern. You can draw your own (it’s very simple), or you can translate it from a ready-made pattern in a magazine or on the Internet (luckily there are plenty of them). The main thing is that the gift that you are going to pack in this boot fits freely into it.

When using materials and decor, give space to your imagination, decorate the front side with decorative stitches, ribbons, sparkles - it’s a holiday, after all!
I do patchwork, so for the front side of my boot I prepared a patchwork fabric made from squares:

Now we begin the most important thing: adding layers

. We put on the table:

lining layer face up
on it - the second layer of lining face down
on top - the patchwork (front) part face up
fabric for the back of the boot face
down .

We pin all the layers with pins:
We trace the contours of the boot according to the template and stitch

(except for the top).

Trim off the excess, leaving allowances along the seam line.
In places of bends, do not forget to make notches along the allowances so that after turning the seam does not tighten.
Now turn it inside out
