About a year ago I became interested in suite design, this year I fell in love with scrapbooking, and now I’m trying to master this type of needlework, though again with a slight touch of other hobbies.

One day, a friend, looking at my beautiful freshly made orange Christmas tree with lights (my pride) said: “This season this is not a trend...” My mouth opened, my lower lip began to twitch in frustration... I thought: “How so? When did handmade things go out of fashion?...” And she continued, saying that this year we are meeting the Blue Sheep, and she is going to decorate everything exclusively in blue and maybe even silver tones.

I came home and went to sort out my hamster supplies. I tried to choose only blue or, at most, silver. And for some reason, the idea immediately came to me to make a sled - it was inspired by the approaching New Year, although there was no snow.

There is also orange sisal here, which seems like a suitable material for a sled. But already in the process I changed my mind about using it - after all, it’s blue.

I looked at the form for the sled on the Internet, but in the end I decided to come up with something of my own. Who, if not me, knows better what kind of sleigh my Santa Claus has?

Separately, it must be said that Grandfather Frost is the only store accessory that my hand has not touched for transformations.

I also needed thick wire for the sled, which I quickly cut and twisted using pliers.

I assembled the sled using my favorite glue gun.

It's worth noting that the type of fastening I originally used for the runners turned out to be unviable. It’s just that at the time when the photo was taken, I was still planning to use sisal to decorate the sled. For the final design, I cut away these layers and secured the wire pieces together using double-sided tape and string (more on this below).

When the base was ready, the question of design arose. And then I realized that I didn’t want to use sisal, I just didn’t see it in the end (those who make things will understand me). My favorite corrugated paper came to the rescue again. And my sleigh became silver.

To make Grandfather comfortable, I threw a “mattress” (a piece of foam plastic) into the sleigh and added organza “pillows.”

I cut the organza into squares, twisted it four times in the usual way and, without hesitation, attached it to the sleigh with a stapler.

Then a Christmas tree (more precisely, branches) settled in the sleigh, and the ugly foam plastic was covered with a “silver blanket” (in the world - decorative filler).

One of the previous photos also shows a gift - Grandfather Frost can’t go without gifts! Of course, there will later be 3 of them in his sleigh. They are easy to make and look very beautiful.

We cut sheet foam into squares (if you have regular foam, you will have to tinker a little). We fold the squares into a cube and wrap it with a piece of wrapping paper or film, securing it with double-sided tape. I don’t specify the sizes, since the foam cube can be of any size (for example, my Grandfather has gifts of several sizes in his sleigh).

At the end, we tie the gift with a ribbon, string, string... - whatever your heart desires.

In addition, I wanted to add something foresty to the sleigh. The gifts of the forest in the neighborhood came to the rescue. I added a little “frost” to the pine cones by covering them with acrylic paint (I could have used paste or salt, but then it would have turned out to be “snow”).

It seems that everything inside is prepared, now we need to take on the outer part. She began to wrap the runners of the sleigh with silver cord. To ensure that the winding did not come off and lay beautifully, I used my favorite double-sided tape.

The sides of the sled were decorated with twists.

Having made the sleigh, we move on to the sweet decor: we glue the candies onto skewers, we decorate the skewers with a ribbon to match the composition, and at the same time we make paper cones, which we wrap on top with packaging film.

We insert a candy on a stick inside the cone and tie it with a ribbon at the base. I made 5 candies using this principle.

I made a cone-shaped twist by winding the wire around the handle.

I also decided to add candy flowers. I cut a rectangular piece of blue corrugated paper.

She curled the ponytail, carefully stretched it with her fingers, and wrapped the candy attached to the toothpick.

In this way 3 candies were made. I decided to make one of them a big beautiful flower. To do this, I cut out petals from blue and silver corrugated paper.

I attached the petals to the candy using double-sided tape. I added sepals to the rest of the candies by cutting a piece of silver corrugated paper into teeth.

Having collected all the flowers, I twisted them with tape, masking the wire and the transition from paper to base.

That's it, the sleigh for Santa Claus is ready! Moreover, even if you remove the candies, the composition will remain beautiful.

So I'll start by assembling the sled. I cut it out of the box and found a thick one, made of double corrugated cardboard, which came in very handy, because it’s a pretty big craft. To create a craft, the following materials and tools will be useful: multi-colored thick cardboard, foil, scissors, paint, glue and various decorative elements.

First you need to cut out the parts from which the child will later assemble Santa Claus's sleigh. The template for such crafts in most cases has a standard appearance.

Make two identical parts from blue and white cardboard and glue them together. After this, the paper blank is folded along the marked lines and the sled is glued together.

The craft can be decorated using foil. From it you just need to cut out two parts in the shape of the sides, only a little smaller, and glue them to the base on the sides. You can decorate the sled using paints, stickers in the shape of snowflakes, etc.

Such a sleigh is not the limit; a beautiful fruit stand can be made using thick cardboard, corrugated paper and padding polyester.

First you need to find a suitable template, trace it on cardboard and cut out two parts. Corrugated paper should be glued to one of the copies and the excess should be trimmed along the contour. In the same way, glue two parts on both sides.

The next step is to cut out the bottom of the sled. Cut out a rectangle of the desired width from cardboard, adding a centimeter on each side for indentation. Two strips should be cut out of padding polyester and glued to the sides, simulating snow and covering the un-glued edges of the cardboard. You need to wait until the sleigh is dry and fill it with sweets or fruits.
