For any holiday, a teacher will be pleased to receive a gift from his students that they made with their own hands. A good option would be a postcard as a sign of respect, care and attention to your mentor. It can be given as a gift for any holiday: Teacher's Day, New Year, birthday, March 8, September 1, etc. You can find master classes on the Internet, and all you have to do is choose the appropriate option. Let's take a step-by-step look at several options for such postcards for different occasions. See also photo ideas and video at the end of the article.
DIY teacher's day gift - quick and easy
This gift is time-saving; it will take about 10 minutes to prepare, no more. We will make a sweet gift for the teacher from the most ordinary materials.
We will need:
- Styrofoam,
- Colored cardboard,
- 3 packs of colored pencils (18 pcs.),
- Glue,
- Scissors,
- Double-sided tape,
- Bamboo skewers,
- Chocolate bars, waffles, candies and other sweets,
- Transparent tape.
Making:
1. Cut out a circle from polystyrene foam 18cm in diameter, 6-10cm high.
2. Cover the circle with colored cardboard.
3. Glue 2-3 strips (depending on the width) of tape onto the cardboard.
4. We fix colored pencils with tape. Choose the gluing order yourself.
5. Using transparent tape, glue bamboo sticks to the sweets. We stick the sweets on sticks into the foam.

This is both a practical and delicious gift. By the way, colored pencils can be replaced with any other office supplies: pens, pencils, rulers and compasses. All this will be useful to the teacher throughout the year.
Another simple gift option is chocolate.
1. Wrap the chocolate in craft paper. We glue the edges with double-sided tape. We tie it with twine.
2. We put yellow autumn leaves behind the twine.
3. Cut out 2 rectangles from brown and black cardboard (the black one is slightly smaller in size). Glue the black rectangle onto the brown one. This is a school board. Using white corrector or paint, we write something on the “board” on a school theme (any formula, numbers, letters).
4. Draw a pencil on a wooden clothespin and decorate it with paints. We pin the clothespin on the twine.
5. You can supplement the composition with office supplies: ruler, pen, etc.

Everything is very simple, but at the same time it looks amazingly original!
Finger drawn postcard
If the child goes to elementary school, then the original postcard will be the one on which it was made. It does not require a lot of materials to create it. All you need to do is take cardboard for the base, paint (gouache or watercolor) and a napkin.
Operating procedure:
- Prepare the base for the card. For this purpose, it is better to choose white cardboard.
- Take the paints and gently dip your fingers into them.
- Draw a flower in the center of the card. To do this, leave colored prints in a circle. Draw a stem with your little finger and place a leaf with your other finger.
- Let the card dry to prevent the paint from smearing.
Your DIY postcard is ready!
You can draw butterflies, trees or other objects in a similar way.
Gift ideas for Teacher's Day for the class teacher from the class
Some gifts can be made with your own hands. But this. As for a personal gift. But it’s better to give a gift from the class that you can chip in and buy.
So, ideas for such gifts!
1. Book-safe.
This gift makes sense. It is convenient for the teacher to put some things in it: keys, office, phone, notebook. The safe is small, you can carry it with you or leave it on the table in the staff room.
2. Tabletop USB aquarium.
By the way, such a “gadget” will not only help the teacher relax, but also organize his activities. Such aquariums are equipped with an electronic clock and an organizer for stationery.
3. Stirring mug.
A common attribute of teaching activity is a cup)) So why not give a cup that is equipped with “buns”: it retains the heat of the drink longer than ordinary cups, and even mixes tea/coffee itself.
4. Invisible shelf.
This shelf will help the teacher organize his workplace in the teacher’s room or at home.
5. Ocean projector.
Our teachers deserve comfortable rest and relaxation. Calm music and a beautiful picture of the depths of the ocean will help them with this.
You can complement this gift with a bouquet of flowers, a card or a class photo. By the way, regarding photography, it can be done in different ways: business, collage, playful, etc.
Which flowers to choose?
When choosing flowers for Teacher's Day, follow the following rules:
- Red, burgundy and other sensual shades are best combined in compositions with other colors. Orange, cream, yellow, lilac, blue, and soft pink buds are suitable for mentors.
- Consider the age of the teacher: the older the teacher, the more saturated the shades should be.
- If you are giving a gift personally, it is enough to give 5-9 flowers, but together from the class you can give a luxurious floral arrangement, for example, a basket with flowering plants.
- Pay attention to the design of the surprise: even a modest bouquet with original decor will make a pleasant impression.
- The gift to the class teacher should be different from those that will be given to subject teachers.
- You can give your mentor a flowering plant in a flower pot. Orchids are especially popular, but you can also choose any other beautiful indoor plant.
- On Teacher's Day, they traditionally present a bouquet of autumn flowers: chrysanthemums, asters, gladioli.
Options for floral arrangements for teachers can be as follows:
- from fresh flowers;
- sweets;
- fruits, berries;
- delicacies;
- gingerbread;
- coffee/tea;
- office supplies;
- balloons;
- toys;
- basket with flowers and sweets.
You can order a beautiful, unusual gift from professional florists, but we suggest making a bouquet with your own hands. Homemade surprises are of particular value and will certainly please the teacher with their special warmth and uniqueness.
What to give a man on Teacher's Day
It is better to think over any gift taking into account the personal interests of the teacher. Then the teacher will definitely like such a gift and will be useful to him. Among these gifts there are purchased and homemade options.
Purchased:
- Storage device or storage medium: flash drives, memory cards, etc.
- Tea or coffee in gift packaging.
- Gift Certificate. This could be a certificate to a gym, a stationery store, a bookstore.
- Painting. By the way, if one of the students draws portraits, you can give not just a picture of nature or a city “landscape”, but a portrait of the teacher himself.
- Stationery organizer.
- Telescopic pointer.
Homemade:
1. Cool, original bouquet (here the first bouquet is more for a male teacher).
2. Sets. This could be soap, candy, etc. By the way, such sets can be signed by coming up with an original inscription for each candy or piece of soap yourself.
3. Fortune cookies. This gift is with humor. And, if you come up with original “predictions,” the teacher will approve of such a concept.
You can prepare all craft options according to your taste and preferences, or take ideas from previous articles. I suggested interesting ideas.
DIY paper flower for Teacher's Day
We talk a lot and often about paper flowers. I try to show different options for such crafts. This model is a new product that I myself recently spied. I liked the idea, so I hasten to share it with you!

1. Cut out a 5 by 6 cm rectangle from yellow paper. Cut off one corner of the rectangle and slightly stretch the corrugated paper.
2. Wrap the candy (round) in paper. Glue the paper. And glue a bamboo skewer to the bottom side of the “bud”.
3. From yellow corrugated paper, cut out 6 rectangles 3 by 5 cm. Fold the rectangle in half and cut off 2 corners. We stretch the upper part to make it wavy. We also stretch the middle of the petal.
4. Wrap the candy blank with these petals. We fix each petal with glue.
5. Cut out 6 more rectangles 5.5 cm by 8. Bend the rectangles in half and cut off 2 corners.
6. Twist the upper part of the rectangles onto the pencil to tighten it. And we stretch the middle.
7. We wrap the workpiece with these petals, gluing them. The result is a lush rose bud.
8. Cut out 2 rectangles of 4 by 8 cm from green corrugated paper. We fold them into strips 1cm wide. Cut off both corners from one side of the strip. And on the other side we round it off, cutting off the corners.
9. Expand. Lightly stretch the part of the workpiece where the edges are rounded. We wrap this blank around the bud and glue it. We slightly curl the tips of these leaves.
10. Cut out a strip 1cm wide. We wrap this strip around the skewer (from the second video).
11. Making rose leaves. Cut 2 rectangles of 4 by 8 cm from green paper. Cut each rectangle diagonally.
12. Turn over one half of the rectangle so that the stripes on the left and right sides go up. Glue the halves together.
13. Twist the top of the leaf onto the pencil in one direction. And the lower part goes to the other. Glue the leaves to the stem of the flower.
You can make a lot of these flowers and in different colors: yellow, red, blue)) We use them to make bouquets, flower arrangements or decorate gifts (only with buds).
Master class on how to make a gift for a teacher using sweets and corrugated paper
We have already talked more than once about corrugated paper flowers and candies. In one of the articles, I described in detail how to make flowers using this material. But now I want to show you how to make an original craft from paper and sweets - a pineapple!
Source - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9lrQN150i0o
In addition to a ruler, glue, pencil and scissors, we will need:
- Raffaello sweets.
- A bottle of champagne.
- Corrugated paper in light and darker colors.
Making:
1. From yellow, pink or other light-colored paper, cut out a rectangle 26 by 18 cm. Glue the edges of the paper. Let's check: the blank should be easy to put on the champagne bottle.
2. Cut out a 12 by 9 cm rectangle from red or orange paper. Glue the sides of the rectangle together. This blank should fit easily onto the neck of the bottle.
3. Glue the upper (smaller) piece to the lower one.
4. Starting from the bottom of the bottle, glue the candies in a checkerboard pattern onto the corrugated paper.
5. Cut out about 25-30 leaves from darker paper. We glue these leaves in the same way as the leaves on a pineapple are located. We bend the edges of the leaves.
6. We tie our pineapple with ribbon.
You know, Teacher's Day is a holiday. This means that champagne and sweets are a more than appropriate gift!
Video on how to give a gift to a teacher
This is a very beautiful option, I can’t even believe that you can do it yourself. And it’s quite simple to make, the main thing is to find beautiful natural material: acorns, cones, nuts. You can supplement this topiary with dried flowers or purchased artificial flowers.
What do you think of this set of ideas? I will be grateful if you offer your options and add them to this collection. By the way, the holidays will never end! This means that you will always have a reason to come visit me. If you subscribe, you will not lose any of the articles with gift ideas!
Golden medal
You can make a postcard in the form of a medal on which the teacher’s achievements in the eyes of the students will be written, or simply the first place among teachers. This craft is incredibly simple to make. It will be just right for 1st grade.
The set of necessary materials is elementary. Gold or blue colored cardboard, glue and scissors.
We cut out petals from cardboard according to a template.
Cut out two of these sheets. One larger, the other smaller, and glue them together by placing a small sheet on top of a large one. Now we make ribbons for the medal. They can be made by gluing regular satin ribbons onto leaves or cutting two strips from cardboard. Write whatever inscription you wish in the middle of the medal. The result is a medal like this. You can make them for both the teacher and the best mother; you will get very nice three-dimensional cards.
Every year in October, teachers celebrate their professional holiday. Many parents purchase expensive class gifts. But all the high school students have a lot of teachers, so it’s not possible to buy gifts for everyone. To congratulate all teachers, you can buy postcards, or you can make them yourself. In addition, joint creative activities bring children and adults closer together.
