The idea to make a built-in wardrobe arose during the process of modernizing the attic. Initially, one small room was built in the attic of the house. There was a desire to expand the living space - to extend the room to the entire attic and move the walls apart.

But there was one problem. There was a water heating radiator against the side wall of the room. It was not possible to move it to another place, and a large free space formed behind it. The decision came naturally. Since in the attic, due to the sloping roof, there are difficulties with arranging standard cabinets, then you can make a built-in wardrobe under the slope of the roof.

It was impossible to separate the closet from the living area with hinged doors, again due to the existence of a heating radiator. Therefore, the decision came to hang a curtain made of thick material.

Living rooms in attics

While working on a villa in Tuscany, Nina Prudnikova placed a cozy family living room with a fireplace and soft sofas in the attic. Massive dark-colored wooden beams emphasize the canonical style, while natural stone and terracotta walls immerse you in the atmosphere of Tuscany.

For example, architect Irena Barene masterfully used a multi-level attic ceiling in her bedroom at an estate on the banks of the Volga. In the high part of the room there is a headboard in the form of a portal with a lambrequin, which visually increases the volume of the room.

When working on the bedroom in this house, architect Marina Kutuzova used white: ceilings, carpet, soft headboard. The latter was made according to individual sketches of the author.

In the project of a villa in Altai, architects Vedran Brkic and Anna Garmash placed the main master bedroom under the roof arch. The effect was significant. At the same time, no low ceilings.

In her bathroom project, Marina Kutuzova turned to the American Art Deco style. Characteristic floor tiles, black and white colors, shapes of plumbing fixtures, windows, tables - all this indicates that it belongs to this style. And the vaulted attic ceiling only supports the skillfully assembled pieces of the style mosaic.

In this house, architects Irina Zavarina and Kirill Gusev placed the bathtub directly under the slope of the ceiling. Considering that a person usually lies in the bathtub, there is no need for a large height. And two skylights provide excellent natural light.

Before arranging a dressing room under the attic, you should listen to some recommendations.

Lighting

A dressing room on the attic floor requires high-quality lighting. It is better to choose fluorescent lamps so that the colors of clothing and accessories are not distorted. Also provide additional lighting for shelves and mirrors.

Storing things and organizing space

Things can be stored in stationary structures and rod racks. The first option involves arranging furniture in accordance with the area of the room, and the second option involves the use of rods that are directed vertically or horizontally.

Comfort
