What you need to make dandelions from napkins
To make a three-dimensional painting, the following basic materials are required:
- scissors;
- dense texture glue;
- yellow paper napkins (you can take white ones);
- stapler;
- thick cardboard for blanks or pre-printed flower leaves;
- a simple pencil;
- green colored paper;
- any cardboard for the background of the application (with the exception of yellow and green colors).
Note! It is most convenient to use a glue stick to create a composition; it does not flow and dries quickly.
It is best to use a glue stick.
Scheme and drawings of a dandelion with dimensions
Before you start creating the craft, you need to make stencils or print ready-made dandelion leaves using a laser printer. There are many template options to choose from online.
It is best to make leaf blanks in two sizes: 13 and 7 cm in length. This will help give the applique a more realistic look.
If you choose already drawn leaves, you need to print them on a printer in advance.
The drawn leaves need to be printed on a printer.
When an application is made in a kindergarten or school, the teacher can prepare several templates for convenience. During the lesson, the teacher will give stencils to the children so that they can trace it on green paper and cut out leaves from it.
Note! In the summer, you can use a real plucked leaf as a stencil. If the work is done in a kindergarten or school, then you should ask the children to collect one plant each during a walk.
Children can use a real leaf picked during a walk as a template.
Application made of colored paper “DANDELIONS”
Take a piece of green paper and cut long rectangles. Fold each rectangle in half and cut out zigzags. Expand. The results are wonderful leaves.
To make the flower itself, we need three circles of different diameters. Large, medium and smallest. We cut them out from bright yellow colored double-sided sheets. Three buds - three sets.
Using scissors, carefully make cuts around the entire circumference. The result is a kind of fluffy edge.
Carefully curl the fringe with scissors. Stack the circles like a pyramid, from largest to smallest. These are the buds that bloomed.
We have prepared the main thing. Now we will collect spring crafts for the children. Let's arrange the leaves in a bush. By the way, leaves can vary in height.
Let's add stems - long thin green stripes. Let's place them between the leaves; their height can be either the same or different.
Let's attach yellow pompoms. They are so lush!
How to make dandelions from napkins step by step
Creating a craft in the form of a bud is quite simple if you follow the instructions below:
- Print or cut out stencils of leaves in two sizes from thick cardboard.
- Attach them to the green paper from the inside, trace along the outline with a simple pencil. If the sheets were pre-printed on a printer, then you need to skip this step and go straight to the next point.
- Carefully cut out two small and three large leaves and set them aside.
- Make plant stems. The result should be 3 identical strips, the length of which is 15 cm and the width is 4 mm.
- In order to prepare the plant buds themselves, you need a standard size yellow napkin. It should be folded four times. Instead of colored material, you can use white, then you will get “ripe” buds. In addition, an applique made from multi-colored paper looks beautiful. For a children's craft, three buds will be enough.
- The layers of each resulting part are fastened using a stapler. For a better connection, it should be used 2 times so that the staples are positioned crosswise.
- Using scissors, carefully turn the square shape of the resulting figure into a round one.
- Make frequent, neat cuts along the edge of the workpiece, the length of which is approximately 3-5 mm.
- The top layer of the circle should be gradually lifted and collected in the center.
- Consistently raise the remaining parts of the future flower to give it a voluminous shape.
- Place the entire composition on a sheet of cardboard. It is worth starting with pre-prepared stems.
- Lay out flowers.
- Add leaves and glue everything well to the cardboard.
- If desired, you can decorate the applique with rhinestones or beads.
- To give your work a more finished and solid look, you can make a bright frame from contrasting paper.
- Creating such an application takes approximately 30 minutes.
Note! Soft corrugated paper can be used as the main material for creating the composition.
Instead of napkins, you can use corrugated paper.
Flowers can be used not only to make children's crafts, but will also be an excellent decoration for a holiday table or can add some color to wedding decor.
It is possible to create large flowers using not standard materials, but corrugated paper of the required size.
You can make large flowers from corrugated paper.
Note! To make the flower more magnificent, you should additionally connect 2 more paper bases together.
To make the flower more magnificent, you can combine several bases. In conclusion, I would like to add that making bright dandelions from napkins is not at all difficult, it will not take much time. On the Internet you can find many other stencils for making them, or use your imagination and make unique flowers according to your own design.

Volumetric fluffy dandelions on a box.
Master Class from O.Ukrainskaya. We took a break, keep the new MK from Olya.
Hello)
In this MK I will tell you how voluminous fluffy dandelions bloomed on my box. I already have one MK on the topic of three-dimensional technology (Poppy Color watches). I had something like this in my stash, so I decided to paint it with oil paints and draw dandelions and daisies. And another idea appeared... so it prevailed.
The work is divided into two stages - completing the volume and painting with acrylic paints. I completed the volume using ordinary acrylic putty (it is sold in cans in construction departments), a palette knife (leaves) and everything else - plastic bottles (large and small)
Materials and tools.
The blank is 13.5 cm in diameter, in the shape of a pebble, its plus is the large surface of the lid.
The workpiece is primed with white acrylic paint.
I decided to decorate the bottom of the box with wicker. I draw the vertical lines and start working... In general, the photo shows how I made it... I worked with a large plastic bottle (see photo above)
The vertical rods of the braid must be dry,
before starting to do the rest of the “weaving”
Result) The braid should dry very well, after which
some irregularities can be corrected with sandpaper (the photo shows the irregularities not sanded yet)
Now the lid of the box... Work begins with a sketch, right on the lid I sketched out the approximate location of all the elements of the composition - flowers, leaves, stems and buds. It doesn’t look very neat... but it will all be hidden under a layer of putty and white acrylic paint
I make the leaves first using a palette knife, I begin to form the leaf
from above from the sharp corner and down, then from the sides of the sheet (also sharp corners) and towards the center and down.
I do all the leaves this way; they need to be dried before the next stage of working on the flowers.
That's it, the palette knife will no longer be needed for this work. Everything else is done using plastic bottles. The putty for this purpose is very well diluted with water to the consistency of sour cream, mixed thoroughly and placed in bottles
Dandelion flowers have three tiers of petals. The very first tier is made with a large bottle; the petals, as in drawing, are laid from the outer edge to the center. Drying. the second and third tier - a small bottle. After drying, the flower shrinks a little.
I make the stems with a large bottle, the buds with a small one
The center of the flower is simply pushed over the damp putty with the back of the brush
Before painting, the entire box is covered with two layers of white acrylic paint and dried.
Colors for painting: cadmium yellow, lemon yellow, light ocher, yellow-green, olive green, brown and a little black.
Painting with round brushes No. 1,2. I start with dandelions with a mixture of cadmium yellow and lemon. The paint is well diluted with water. But you can describe everything in any other way, there are many techniques
further a few photos
leaves in two shades with transitions from one to another
Using dark brown paint very diluted with water, I “walk” over the flowers,
This is how I add shadows to the petals. The excess on top needs to be wiped off.
I painted the background with the same colors that were used for the flowers and leaves. I make shadows under the leaves and flowers. I put dots in the center of the flowers with a white outline. I draw twigs peeking out from under the bushes. I cover the box with several layers of acrylic varnish.
Now you can examine the box from all sides)
That's it... the work is finished, MK too) As always, I hope it was interesting... and useful.
I wish you all success in creativity, love and good mood on spring days and more!)))
Thank you for your attention
