You will need:
- three-layer paper napkins
- glue
- stapler
- cardboard

Prepare a napkin (which is already folded in four) and scissors, draw a circle on the napkin and cut it out.

Fold back one piece of napkin at a time.

Start folding and curling each leaf in the center (around the paperclip). You should now have a rose.

Make several roses of different sizes (cut circles of different diameters) to cover the cone.

You can make a cone from cardboard or buy it at a craft store.

Start covering the cone with paper roses. As you go up the cone from bottom to top, the roses become smaller, so you need to cut out smaller circles.

New Year's wreath made of fir branches
New Year and Christmas wreaths are a traditional decoration that decorates the home of almost every European and American during the holidays. In Russia, this accessory is also beginning to gain popularity. Today we will tell you how to make a New Year's wreath with your own hands.
The craft can be hung on the front door (inside or outside), on the wall, placed in the center of the holiday table, etc. If you don't like to put up a Christmas tree, a wreath made of pine branches will be a great alternative. Moreover, the smell from it is appropriate - festive, fresh.

What do we need?
- special wire frame (or regular wire)
- moss
- spruce or pine branches
- red and green satin ribbons
- decorative elements (cones, dried flowers, candied fruits, small Christmas tree decorations and figurines of New Year’s characters)
Tip: Collect moss in the forest or park in advance, but do not take dry moss, because it does not contain moisture, and we will need it for constant feeding of coniferous branches. If you can't get moss, replace it with a standard florist sponge (available in any hardware or floral department).
Progress
It will be easier to make a New Year's wreath if you have a ready-made metal frame (it can be found in any craft department). If you don't have one, you need to make the blank yourself. To do this, simply roll a strong and thick wire into a ring. Then make another ring (slightly smaller) so that it is inside and secure the body.
Next, distribute the moss over the entire diameter of the circle. It can be attached using paper clips or simply tied with fishing line or strong thread.
We take spruce branches and trim them a little. We entangle our wreath with them so that the lower end is stuck into the moss or sponge. If the branches do not hold well, you can secure them with thread or fishing line. Do not over-tighten to avoid damaging the material.
Now you need to tie the wreath with ribbons and tie beautiful bows.
Tie decorative elements with green threads or simply glue them. You can tie them not to branches, but to a metal base.

To make your Christmas wreath delight you longer, constantly spray it with a spray bottle. This will help nourish the moss or sponge and refresh the branches themselves. As a rule, such wreaths “live” much longer than Christmas trees.

Fairytale cardboard house
It doesn't sound like much, but it looks simply gorgeous. Because cardboard is only the basis of the house, and the beauty is created by the decor. You can also involve a child in creating such a simple New Year’s composition.
From the materials we will need:
- a piece of thick cardboard (you can take a box from under household appliances);
- scissors;
- stationery knife;
- pencil;
- ruler;
- masking tape;
- cotton wool or decorative snow;
- gouache: white, red, green and other New Year's colors;
- a figurine of Father Frost, the Snow Maiden or the symbol of 2020 - the Metal Rat;
- cones, rain and other small items for decoration.
Snowman Cylinder
A very romantic New Year's decoration is a snowman decorated with New Year's decor.
You can make a cylinder out of cardboard, like in the photo above. But an even simpler option is a cylinder made from a tin can. We paint it black (you can use spray paint). A decorative ribbon or strap with a buckle will not only decorate the craft, but will also hide the joints.

Craft “Winter's Tale” - master class and photo
Seasonal competitions are often held in children's institutions. Now winter crafts with a fairy tale theme are popular. See how to make one of these.
Take:
- large box;
- gypsum mixture;
- ceiling tiles;
- water-based paint and gouache;
- artificial snow;
- PVA glue;
- baking soda;
- wooden skewers;
- green foam sponge;
- LED light bulbs;
- fir cone;
- broom;
- foil;
- electric garland;
- batteries;
- wires.
Take several pieces of wire, first twist a birch trunk from them, then make branches from other scraps. When you create the trunk, make several branches immediately below that will become the roots.
Combine PVA glue with white acrylic paint and cover the tree with this composition. Now take black gouache and cover the birch tree with it in some places. Then you will apply a characteristic pattern.
Very soon you will have a winter-themed craft. You need to create a snow-covered tree in almost the same way. Its branches will be white and its trunk will be dark.
Twist a spruce tree out of wire. It will turn out realistic. To do this, cover it with a small amount of black and brown gouache. To make needles for this tree, cut a green sponge and stick it on the branches. Making a house is very interesting. It is created from ceiling tiles.
Now look at how the landscape is made. Take water, plaster mixture. Mix. Using these materials, fix the trees, then a house glued together from ceiling tiles, and also a fence with a gate. Cover the rest of the area with this mass so that it appears as if it is snow and a path.
Mix baking soda with glue and cover the surface of the snow with this material to make it appear even whiter. You will make the lake from foil, and the reeds from twigs from a broom. Form lanterns from cocktail tubes. But you need to run wires in them and attach LED bulbs to the top. Make a bridge out of skewers and decorate the Christmas tree. This is such a wonderful craft, and if you transform it with the help of lighting, then the winter fairy tale will be a success.
If you look closely at the cotton swabs, you will understand that these are ready-made logs for the next winter craft. It is very interesting to make from such material, especially since it is inexpensive and very accessible.
Candlesticks made from glasses
Candles are a very important attribute of the New Year, because they create an atmosphere of mystery and magic. Therefore, there should be a lot of candles in the apartment. Let's make a simple composition in the form of an original candlestick that will fit into the New Year's interior of any home.
