Now I’ll teach you how to glue glass onto a smartphone without bubbles. This works perfectly

Now I will not describe the pros and cons of glass, list the pros and cons. This has been discussed here so many times already that nothing new can be said.

The main thing is that if you periodically glue protective glass on your iPhone (and any other smartphone too), then this three-kopeck liquid is the best assistant, much more useful than some napkins or even direct hands.

I first heard about it a few years ago, saw it on sale a couple of times, but now I finally ordered it on AliExpress. And, of course, I checked it in action.

Result? Fire!

Types of protective films

The main task of the film is to preserve the presentation of the cell phone for a long time.
In addition to this task, a protective film is used to matt the screen, or vice versa, to create a glossy effect, and protects the screen from fingerprints. Accordingly, you can purchase a variety of films depending on the purpose of their use: matte, glossy, anti-reflective. Each person chooses a film based on personal tastes and preferences. Thick films are easier to stick than thin ones. They don't stretch. However, it is worth considering one fact: a thick film reduces the color rendition of the screen and its sensitivity. Glossy films of medium thickness are considered universal. You can find them in communication stores or online stores. They will suit any user. If you don’t know how to stick a film on your phone, we will help you. Everything is done as simple as shelling pears.

Main functions of protective film

Visually, the film is a thin strip of plastic that matches the size of the smartphone and is equipped with cutouts for function keys and a microphone with speaker. The exception is universal film, which will need to be cut to fit the device, as well as holes made. The small thickness is compensated by high density, which provides protective functions.

Any film on the screen allows you to avoid problems with the violation of the aesthetics and functionality of the touchscreen during daily use or in certain situations. For example, applying a film to your phone before going to the beach is an ideal solution to prevent sand scratches.

Carrying your phone with various small objects - keys, coins, etc. will be safer with the protection attached. Accordingly, the main function of the film on the phone will be to reduce the likelihood of scratches and chips on the display.

Remember that thin films on a smartphone will not protect the display from shocks and severe mechanical damage. An exception is glass film or safety glass, which can provide this protection within certain limits.

How to stick a film on a phone

The film is applied to your mobile device in three stages. We will describe them to you below.

How to cut a film for a phone that matches its size?

In order not to be mistaken with the dimensions, use as a sample the film that the phone was equipped with during packaging at the factory. It matches the screen exactly and will serve as an excellent example.

Remove the original film and place it on the protective film, carefully aligning it.

Take a special knife and scissors. Using them, cut the film of the required size according to the existing sample. In a couple of minutes, the result is ready - a new film for your irreplaceable and favorite gadget.

Applying a protective film to your phone: preparing the device

Your first step in this procedure is to thoroughly wipe the screen with a microfiber cloth. Then we prepare a solution based on soap or shampoo in the following proportions: add one drop of soap to twenty grams of water. We take a brush and use it to cover the screen with a thin layer of the prepared solution. This procedure will help the material not stick haphazardly, and will make it possible to easily fix it in the correct position.

3.

The material we will have to work with has two different protective coatings. On the front side it is colored, and on the side of the adhesive layer it is transparent.

You should remove the transparent coating, and then place the film with the adhesive layer to the screen. Carefully align the film. The previously prepared solution helps us with this.

Now feel free to remove the second coating. It's time to use a plastic card. Use it to expel the air formed under the film. Do this from the center of the screen to the edge. Wipe off any remaining soapy liquid with a swab. Avoid getting the solution on the device buttons.

Other Fly smartphones

All Fly phone models can be found in our online store.

That's all. The hard work is done! Your mobile phone is like new.

Leave the device alone for a while to allow the film to dry. After an hour or a little more, you can safely use it.

  • To properly stick the protective film on your phone around the edges, cut it with a gap of a millimeter from the edge of the screen.
  • Avoid touching the adhesive side of the material, otherwise there is a risk of dust being deposited on it, which may cause bubbles to form.

Now you know how to stick a protective film on your phone yourself. The next lesson will be devoted to how to resuscitate a phone that has fallen into water. Do not miss!

If the screen of your smartphone is not protected with a special protective film, then over time its surface will become covered with tiny scratches, accumulate transparent, barely visible cracks and noticeable chips. As a result, the screen surface becomes cloudier, which significantly worsens color reproduction and reduces clarity.

What is a protective film?

Protective film is a thin, durable and high-quality polymer material. The structure of the film has several layers, each of which allows you to reliably protect your phone screen from sun glare, scratches, abrasions and light mechanical stress due to the use of the device.

Rice. 1. Multi-layer polymer protective film (universal)

A little earlier, protective films were a new product, they were produced in limited quantities, they could only be bought for popular phone models, buyers had to be content with what was on sale. Today, the mobile accessories market is ready to offer films “for every taste and color,” the most popular of which are:

  • Mirror protective films - when the backlight is off, the effect of a real mirror,
  • Glossy is one of the most durable and high quality transparent films available.
  • Matte protective films have an additional anti-reflective layer.

All films are thin and, when glued, are practically invisible on the device. They are suitable for capacitive and resistive screens. But even with all the wide assortment, it’s difficult for manufacturers to keep up with new models, and if you still go to a store, you may not find a protective film for your phone model. In this case, a universal protective film of a suitable size can help out.

Universal films come in 5”, 7”, 8”, 10” and more inches. For ease of marking, graph paper is applied to one side, which is removed after cutting to the required size.

Rice. 2. Universal film with graph paper can be of different sizes, from 4" to 15"

Don’t be afraid to cut out the required shape correctly, it’s not at all difficult. You just need to know how to do it correctly. Let's prepare the tools for work, you will need:

Rice. 3. Tools for work:

  • Metal ruler of the required length,
  • Stationery cutter,
  • A fine marker for marking dots and trim lines.

You also need to build a place where you can sit and cut out the film. A flat working surface can be, for example, an old unnecessary magazine with a smooth cover lying on the surface of the table.

Metal coins of different sizes can be used as auxiliary elements; they will help deal with curves.

How to cut protective film to size

In order to cut the film to size, it must be marked correctly. First of all, decide where the layer that will stick to the screen is so that you can cut it accordingly.

Rice. 4. Protective film, layers to determine the side to be glued. It should be understood this way:

On the film, the manufacturer marked only the sides “1” and “2” with stickers, and the middle main layer is clean.

The “sticker 1” side is removed to expose the layer for sticking to the screen. The “middle” side, from the “1” side, is glued directly to the grease-free screen. Side “sticker 2” is the outer shipping sticker, after smoothing the adhesive film, carefully remove and remove.

Rice. 5. Position the film on top of the smartphone

  • Place the protective film on top of the phone, starting from the upper left corner, taking into account future rounding, if any. Step back 0.5 mm from the edge of the screen.
  • Carefully mark on the film with a marker the points where the edge will go so that you can draw contour lines through them.
  • Using a ruler, connect the dots with a marker to create a cutting line.
  • Place the film on the prepared work surface (magazine) and use a metal ruler to trim the edge using a cutter.

Rice. 6. Cut out part on film

  • After the film is cut to size, all that remains is to give it a finished look - cut out the missing curves. In the required places, place a prepared coin of suitable size, press with your finger and cut the arc line. In the same way, cut the rounded oblong area for the navigation button and earphone.

Rice. 7. Selecting the appropriate coin diameter to create rounded cuts

Rice. 8. Completely finished cut out surface of the protective film for subsequent sticker

  • Pre-clean the surface of small specks, lint and various types of greasy stains; to do this, use pharmaceutical alcohol for injection. Moisten the corner of the cotton pad moderately and walk without pressing over the surface of the screen. A degreased screen will have reliable adhesion to the surface of the film.
  • After degreasing the surface, do not touch the prepared surface with your fingers; a completely clean screen is the key to a high-quality sticker.

Who among us does not want the purchased mobile phone not only to last a long time, but also not to lose its original presentable appearance? A protective film for your phone will help protect your mobile device from scratches and other possible damage. It is especially necessary for owners of phones with touch screens. Review of universal protective film with markings for the display.

It’s hard to imagine a modern phone or communicator without a touchscreen. Mechanical loads on the glass of a touchscreen are much stronger than on a display without a touchscreen. Glass that is completely scratch-resistant has not yet been invented; replacing a touchscreen is an expensive proposition. It is 100% recommended for everyone to protect the touchscreen from mechanical damage using a protective film. Let's look at how this is done step by step.

Types of films. Surface: mirror, anti-peeping (the image is visible only at a right angle), matte, glossy. From the entire list, we do not recommend mirror and anti-peeping mode, as they degrade the quality and brightness of the image on the display and create discomfort during use. Glossy films are the most inexpensive and are suitable for training if you are gluing for the first time. Matte films.

The easiest option is to take scissors, draw the desired size with a marker and cut it. But it won’t work out exactly, you won’t be able to cut it in one go and at the beginning of the second cut there will be a hangnail. Option two, longer but more reliable. Take a regular piece of paper in a box and draw the desired size on it (it’s convenient to mark the cells) we make the roundings using a coin of the appropriate size. We put a film on the drawn template. To be sure, we glue it with a couple of pieces of tape (to prevent it from moving, we still remove the top layer of the film later) Take a ruler (preferably metal), apply it to the lines and cut off with a stationery knife. You need to try to go through one side without stopping, then the cut will be neat and even. Curves are cut by placing a round object higher (so as not to cut your fingers), for example a glass of suitable size. You won’t be able to do it neatly with scissors, the cut will be jagged. Film) if good) expensive and it’s better to spend an extra 10 minutes on trimming. Rather than spoil it. It’s better to glue (from experience) in the bathroom, there’s more there.

I am a person with extensive experience in applying films, so I decided to give everyone my advice. For gluing, we will need scissors (preferably new ones without burrs), water spray, credit card, cotton rag. We take the film, cut it to size, drip shampoo into the center, and glue it to the display. We check how it will look and trim it if necessary. Turn off the phone and remove the battery. Pour 100g of water into a spray bottle and add 0.5 cm3 of the cheapest shampoo (without mother of pearl) and shake. You can measure approximately or use a syringe. We wipe the display with this solution, sprinkling it a little and turning the display towards the ceiling surface so that the water flows out. We wipe it with a cotton cloth so that there is not a single speck of dust. We blow it off if there are any left. We peel the film and immediately spray our solution onto the adhesive layer. We apply the film to the display and begin to align it.

In order to keep your phone screen free of scuffs and scratches for a long time, you must know how to cut a protective film on your phone and stick it correctly. When purchasing a new device, dealership salespeople usually offer to stick a protective film on its screen. They do it quickly and without errors, so you can pay money for this service.

Is it possible to cut the film yourself?

If you don’t want to part with your money, or you just want to change your old mobile phone screen protection to a new one, you can do it yourself.

It's good if the new film purchased at the store fits your phone screen perfectly. Then, after reading the instructions included with the film, you can easily stick it on. However, it often happens that there is no protection specifically for your phone model, and you will have to independently adjust it to the desired dimensions.

For this procedure you will need tools available in every home:

A protective film is not only a way to avoid scratches on your smartphone screen, but also an additional line of defense when the screen falls face down. After all, by absorbing the main force of the impact, the film significantly reduces the risk of getting a broken screen. Applying a protective film to the screen of your smartphone is a must. How can you do this yourself at home? We'll tell you now.

Let's start with choosing a film.

We recommend using films from reputable manufacturers such as SGP or Ozaki. They are more expensive than Chinese universal films, but they adhere better, stay on the screen longer, and are made individually for each phone model. Universal films are cheaper, but their disadvantages include the need to cut the film to fit the screen, which is not so easy to do, and a short lifespan.

So, you have chosen and purchased a protective film.

Now let's get ready for gluing. It is best to glue the film on a flat, hard surface.

How to stick a protective film on your phone without having to redo it?

When releasing new smartphones, manufacturers equip each model with a touch display that responds to finger touches. The screen control is convenient, but it contributes to the appearance of scratches, abrasions and dirt on the glass. A protective film is a transparent coating that protects the phone’s display from microcracks and dust. Read our article about how to stick it correctly.

Types of screen films and their purpose

If the film is selected in accordance with the owner’s preferences and is properly pasted, it does not interfere with viewing images or text documents. Therefore, when choosing a coating for your smartphone display, focus on your needs. Films vary in parameters: transparency, size, thickness.

Depending on surface type

Common types of screen films on the market:

03/07/2011 / Reviews,

A screen protector is perhaps the first accessory for any modern device. As a rule, a scratched screen immediately gives any device a shabby look and cuts reduce the price. And vice versa, a device with a scratch-free screen is perceived as not being used much and subconsciously indicates that the owner took care of the device. When choosing a film, you should still pay attention to its thickness, surface type and hardness of the material itself. An ideal film is a thin film, the material itself is quite rigid. Such a film will ensure accurate transmission of control signals coming from the fingers and at the same time will not be scratched by mechanical influences. Also, thin film will not darken or cloud the screen. The thin film protrudes less from the surface of the screen and, accordingly, there is less chance that it will be accidentally separated from the screen in the process.

The main task of the coating for touch phones is to protect the screen from all kinds of mechanical damage. Even if you purchased a special case for your device, this does not guarantee its complete safety. During a call, the display may accidentally be scratched by earrings or solid debris may get into the case. During active use, it is absolutely impossible to ensure sterile cleanliness of your hands, and fatty secretions, sweat and dust will very quickly render the device unusable, reducing the sensitivity of the screen. A protective film on your phone significantly extends its service life and makes it easier to care for.

How to properly glue film

It is important not only to be able to stick the film on the phone, but to do it as correctly as possible. Bubbles are the most common problem and evidence of unprofessionalism. To properly apply the film, you must be extremely precise and follow the instructions. Available for every mobile phone model.

A smartphone is an expensive thing and requires careful handling. One of the most vulnerable places is the screen. Many people repeatedly drop their phone during use and carry it in a bag where, in addition to it, there are keys and other sharp objects.

As a result, chips, scratches, cracks appear quite quickly even on a new smartphone, and even the screen may even break. But it is quite possible to extend the life of the device if you use modern technologies, for example, purchase and install protective glass.

How to stick protective glass on a smartphone

Outwardly, it is similar to film with similar tasks; glass appears transparent and flexible, but due to its higher density it is considered more reliable and durable. A protective screen for a phone costs a little more than film, but it justifies its price, as it reduces the likelihood of the screen breaking to almost zero.

What is a protective glass for a smartphone - what functions does it perform?

Before you learn how to glue protective glass onto...

- protective film; - lint-free napkin; - a plastic card

To begin, thoroughly wipe the entire screen of the device with the lint-free degreasing cloth that usually comes with the film. Make sure there are no dirt, fingerprints or dust particles left behind. You can use a small amount of liquid or spray to clean LCD monitors. Do not use products based on alcohol.

Remove the film from the packaging. Do not completely tear off the shipping film that is attached to the adhesive part, otherwise dust will immediately settle on it. Open only a small part of the adhesive side. Carefully place it against the top edge of the screen so that the film is parallel to it. Peel off the shipping film as you stick it, smoothing out the already glued part (this can be done with a napkin or your finger).

Smooth the edges with a napkin. If there are any small bubbles left, they are okay.

Useful news for those who are going to stick a protective film on the phone display themselves. Step-by-step instructions, tips and lesson. The display of any gadget is often subject to various mechanical damages. The only way to save your screen is a protective film. This film is an almost indispensable attribute of any mobile device. And if you have an expensive phone, then the issue of buying it should not be discussed at all. Any experienced phone owner will agree that a protective film is an essential item. The screen of the new phone is very bright and smooth, but from active use the surface of the display wears down, dust sticks, scratches, abrasions and stains appear, and fingerprints remain. Moreover, an annoying scratch can be repaired already on the first day after purchase.

The main reason why you should be concerned about purchasing high-quality film for your pet is the need to preserve the screen. In addition, most films produced today have a couple of other useful functions.

Firstly, protective films have unique properties and protect your eyes by reducing eye strain by blocking ultraviolet rays that come from LCD screens. Secondly, a good (usually the more expensive) film has an anti-reflective coating, which will make it easier for you to read.

Fragile gadget part

Mobile phone owners regularly contact service centers with requests to replace the display. Most often, it is this part of the gadget that causes breakdowns. This happens because the phone's display is its most fragile part. Also, the gadget’s screen is not protected from external influences (regardless of the strength of the material from which it is made). Of course, impact-resistant materials help protect the phone from cracks, however, despite this, the display replacement service is always in the lead.

What types of films are there?

Fortunately, today manufacturers of the communications industry and accessories in this industry have tried to ensure that the user of a mobile device has a choice of accessories for it. Today there are several types of films with different properties.

With a glossy finish. The phone looks more beautiful with a glossy film, but in bright sunlight it will catch glare, making it difficult to view the screen.

Film with mirror coating. It is made of glass, which significantly adds chic and shine to the touch phone. There are also mirror films on sale for the back panel of the phone, so they can act as a case, covering all panels of the device. But such an accessory also has disadvantages, these are the same glare in bright lighting.

Film with a matte finish - if you choose this type, you will be able to use your phone perfectly even in bright conditions, unlike the previous two protective films.

There are also some that come off easily. But you need to take into account the fact that there should be no glue left on the display. Some companies produce films with the thinnest silicone coating that adhere perfectly to the display without leaving marks on it. This protective accessory can be used many times.

When purchasing film

It is recommended to purchase a screen protector specifically for your phone model. Basically, it is always slightly smaller than the screen size, but this nuance should not confuse you, since this was done for better adhesion of the film along the edges of the display. When purchasing such a protective accessory, many are guided by their own preferences and tastes.

It should be noted that it is easier to properly stick the film on the phone if it has a thick base; thinner ones tend to stretch. But thick ones reduce color transmission and the sensitivity of the device. If you can't decide on a choice, a universal phone film will suit you. Glossy ones of medium thickness are considered universal; they are suitable for any user. You can purchase protection for your phone in online stores or in specialized communications stores.

Basically, when buying a phone, sellers immediately offer to buy a film and use the services of gluing it. For a very small fee, specialists from a store or service center can glue it to your gadget; it won’t take much time. However, if you do not want to contact a service center, you can do these simple steps yourself.

How to apply protective film yourself

There are two ways to stick the film on your phone without bubbles: “dry” and “wet”. The first of them is fast and safe, but requires more skill. It also requires clean conditions without dust in the air. The “wet” method is fast, but can pose a threat to the smartphone in inexperienced hands.

Dry method

The dry method is most often used for gluing film. This is the one that is recommended, but it is associated with certain difficulties. Before you stick the film on your phone, you need to choose a clean place. For example, a bathroom is suitable for this: humidity makes the dust heavy, and it does not fly in the air, but lies on the surfaces.

Tools and accessories:

  • lint-free napkin;
  • plastic card;
  • tweezers
    (optional) or
    medical gloves
    (optional);
  • windshield wiper
    (optional).

Often, screen film comes with these tools, so you don’t have to look for anything.

How to stick the film dry:

An experienced person (for example, a store or service center employee) can do without tools by gluing the film on the first try. But if this is done for the first time, it’s better to play it safe.

Step-by-step instruction

First you need to prepare your workplace. It is advisable that there is no dust in the room, as it will definitely get on the sticky part of the film, and then you will not be able to do anything. It is advisable to do this in the bathtub so that the room is saturated with moist air, which can be artificially created by turning on the water in the bathroom for a couple of minutes.

To work you will need:

    phone screen film;
  • wet wipe;

    dry cloth;

a plastic spatula (often included with the film); if not, an ordinary plastic card will do.

It is recommended to glue it to a new, not yet dirty or dusty phone. In order not to make mistakes when gluing the film and not to be subsequently disappointed with the work performed, you must follow the instructions step by step.

Usually, along with the protective film, manufacturers include a special napkin and a plastic spatula, which are useful for gluing the film. If the phone is new, then it already has factory protection, but in most cases it contains brand inscriptions or descriptions of the resources contained in the phone.

These inscriptions interfere with the effective use of the screen, so the factory film must be removed, but do not rush to throw it away, we will need it later.

Installation of protective coating

If, when gluing the film, a small particle of dust gets onto the screen or adhesive layer, an air bubble will form that cannot be expelled. Therefore, before attaching the covering, prepare your work area. Wipe the table from dust and arrange the tools in a convenient order: scissors, napkins, film and spatula.

Prepare the universal film in advance - apply it to the screen and cut off the protruding edges with a stationery knife. If you are careful and are not afraid of scratching the glass, you can run the knife directly along the film, focusing on the border of the display, and if you are not confident in your abilities, trace the glass with a pencil, remove the coating and cut it out on the table.

You can use scissors or a utility knife for cutting.

Cut the film on each side 1mm smaller than the phone display to make gluing easier.

Remove the used film and degrease the display with a damp cloth. Do not use alcohol-based cleaners as they affect the brightness of the picture and leave streaks. A worthy alternative to a napkin is a soap solution prepared in the ratio of 1 drop of shampoo per 20 g of water. After removing streaks and dust, use a dry microfiber cloth to polish the display.

Wipe the screen with a smooth, lint-free microfiber

Take the film and remove the protective layer from it. If there are two of them, remove the one marked with the number “1”. Proceed carefully - separate part of the protective layer to the middle and apply the film to the screen without pressing, and then align it along the top side. Continue to push back the protection, gradually pressing the rest of the film.

Apply the protective coating to the phone screen gradually

The secret to aligning the borders: before peeling off the protective layer, place the film on the screen, align it and secure it with a strip of tape along the side.

Remove large air bubbles formed between the screen and the film during gluing with a cardboard mini-spatula or plastic card. Press the end of the card to the screen and swipe from top to bottom. Do not try to remove small bubbles - they will disappear on their own within a day.

If there is a protective covering numbered “2” left on the film, carefully remove it with tweezers.

Matte films are more expensive, but they are also more practical; they do not reflect glare, scratches are not visible (longer service life), and the finger glides more comfortably over the surface of the touchscreen (this is especially noticeable in games). On high-definition displays, matte film adds grain to the image.

By Type: universal without markings, universal with markings, cut out to fit a phone model, cut out with a pattern (see photo below).

The easiest way to work is with a universal film that has markings on it (easy to cut, easy to identify 1,2 protective layers), they are the most common, so they always cost less. It is much more difficult to glue a film cut out to fit a phone model, since a perfect alignment of the film and the touchscreen is required; if the edge of the film goes beyond and does not fit tightly to the display, then it will definitely fall off during use. So, let's start sticking the universal film with markings onto the display.

For work we will need: soap, a lint-free cloth or napkin (for wiping glasses you can buy in optical stores), transparent tape, a stationery knife, a plastic ruler, film. We measure the dimensions of the working part of the display (the part that is most susceptible to mechanical stress) taking into account a 1mm offset from the edges of the case. Based on the size, we cut the film with a knife along a ruler so that the edges of the film are not deformed; there is no need to press too hard with a knife and it is better to cut from the side of 1 layer, since the film will bend towards the display at the point of cutting, it is better to do it several times. Don’t throw away the remaining film; it may be useful for old phones with small displays. We apply the cut film to the device and check that the distance from the edges of the case is at least 1 mm. If necessary, we cut off the excess; cutting off the extra mm along the cells is not a problem. We soap your finger and spread the soap solution on the surface of the screen, then remove the soap solution with a napkin and wipe it dry. The soap solution degreases the surface and is washed off well. We remove the first protective layer on which the mesh is applied. Don’t rush to throw it away, it’s better to slide it across the screen and put it nearby, since it is highly electrified and dust from the screen and dust that flies in the air will stick to it. With both hands we hold the film over the gluing area, align it taking into account the indentations and release it, the film falls onto the screen and sticks (until we smooth out the film). If the film lies crooked, lift the film and try again until the film lies flat (it is important to watch and align all edges at the same time).

When the first protective layer is removed, the film becomes electrified and dust gets on it, which creates air bubbles under the film. It is unlikely that you will be able to stick the film on the first time without dust. Don't worry, the dust can be removed. We take the tape, tear off a piece and glue it to the film from the edge where we found dust and bubbles (they are clearly visible). We pull the tape at a right angle to the film, lift the film and use a second piece of tape to blot the dust under the film (usually the dust sticks to the film, but sometimes it sticks to the screen, so you need to blot the film or screen accordingly). We lower the film back and tear off the tape (slowly pull the tape at an acute angle to the film, you can press the edge of the film to the screen with your finger near the tape). We smooth the film with a napkin and remove the transparent protective layer without a mesh (sometimes it turns out that in the process of getting rid of dust it flies off on its own, don’t be alarmed, continue to remove the dust, lifting the film without a protective layer, it is durable and will not be damaged). The final stage. If the edges that were cut with a knife were deformed (the knife was dull or they were pressed hard), they can be smoothed using a plastic ruler, drawing a straight edge along the edge of the film with slight pressure. The adhesive film is very durable and thin, does not dim the image and does not interfere with your fingers when working with the touchscreen.

Even if you handle the tablet very carefully, after a month or two small scratches will appear on it. The protective film is an important accessory that protects the device from mechanical damage. A new tablet must have a film on it, which must subsequently be replaced.

Many people fail to stick the film onto the device correctly. In most cases, air bubbles form there, and then dust particles enter. As a result of repeated unsuccessful attempts, the purchased film turns into shreds. If you follow some rules, you will be able to avoid such defects. If possible, try to give preference to higher quality films. They cost a little more, but they stick much better than cheap analogues. In addition, if necessary, you can peel them off, wash them and stick them back on. It is recommended to choose a film that is created specifically for your tablet model. But if you haven’t found this option, buy a universal one. At home, cut the film along the contour of the screen. It is recommended to carry out the gluing process in the bathroom. If you open hot water, the dust in the air will be attracted to the water and will not fall on the tablet display. Wash your hands and prepare the device well. Clean it from any greasy marks that may have remained after touching. To do this, it is better to use special tools that can be found in hardware stores. Apply a little spray to a viscose cloth (often sold complete with spray) and wipe the surface of the tablet. Perform the operation again. Make sure that no marks are left on the surface. It must be perfectly clean. To remove small dust particles from the screen, use paper tape. It leaves no residue and removes dust well. Stick it on the screen and tear it off immediately. Make sure that there is not a single speck of dust left on the display - they are the reason for the formation of the hated bubbles. Place the device on a flat and clean surface. Remove the protective film from the packaging. In addition to the main one, there should be two more coatings. Tear off the first one (step1) and turn the film over. It is the adhesive side that needs to be glued to the tablet. Try not to touch this side too much with your fingers and make sure that no particles of dust or lint get there. Adhere the corners of the film to the longer side of the display first. Hold the remaining part with your left hand to prevent it from sticking incorrectly. Take a plastic card in your right hand. Use it to gently smooth out the already glued part. If dust particles land on the surface during work, put the card aside and use paper tape again. Glue it to the desired area. Make sure that there are no air bubbles - the film should lie very tightly. Continue the process until you reach the very bottom. Then look at the resulting result. If the film lays unevenly or you notice defects, you will have to remove it, rinse it well and repeat the process from the very beginning. If you are completely satisfied with the result, peel off the second layer of the main film (step2). Start from any corner and carefully remove it, so as not to tear off the main layer.

If you treat your device very carefully, it will remain in perfect condition for a long time. A device with a high-quality protective film immediately identifies a careful owner. Don't be upset if you can't stick it properly the first time. A few tries and the problem will be solved.

Screen processing

The next step: you need to carefully inspect your gadget; there should be no specks, dust or fingerprints on the surface of the screen. If there are any, you need to clean the surface of the display from such imperfections by carefully wiping it with a special cloth. You can use a microfiber cloth and cleaner for LSD and TFT monitors. However, it is very important to know that you should never wipe the display with alcohol, because alcohol can cause clouding of the plastic of the display itself.

Any napkins will not work

You can also use fabric napkins that do not contain lint. You will have to refuse both fat-containing wipes and those containing cream. These types of wipes will leave unwanted marks and streaks on the surface of the screen.

You need to carefully rub the surface of the screen in order to remove all the debris, because all these defects can no longer be corrected after gluing. If your phone is not new, even after very intensive cleaning it may still contain dust fluff on its surface. Then it is recommended to use masking tape to remove them - just blot the display with it.

Won't this ruin the iPhone display?

It shouldn't. Or, more precisely, it will spoil it no more than contact with the adhesive layer of protective glass.

I checked with those who filled their smartphones with such liquid a couple of years ago to see if it had damaged the glass. The reviews are the same: when you decide to replace it after six months or several months, you just need to carefully wipe the screen with an alcohol wipe to remove any remaining “sludge.” And that’s it, at least drip again.

Still, I won’t recommend this to everyone, because the effect is unknown, like everything that strange Chinese guys from Aliexpress sell. But so far I have not seen or heard any negative reviews, but I have personally seen the benefits.

Film size

If you use a protective film selected directly for the model of your mobile device, it will perfectly match the parameters and you will not have to perform any additional procedures. However, it happens that it is not possible to purchase original protection. In this case, the factory one will come in handy. You should adjust it to the desired size using scissors or a sharp knife. But it should be noted that the original accessories already have all the holes for the various instrument panels of your device, and you will have to tinker with the rest and cut them yourself.

Determining the bottom of the film

Before you stick the film on your phone, you need to find where the bottom is, so that you can get a general idea of which side to mount where. Some manufacturers produce film that itself is coated in two additional layers. There is protection on the top and bottom, and inside there is a base for gluing to the surface of the phone screen. These kinds of accessories are produced with numbered paper petals around the edges. In this case, the first to be removed is the protective surface number 1.

Tested filler for safety glass

We wipe the screen of the iPhone 11 Pro Max with the terrible wipes from the protective glass kit.

You can’t take a good photo of yourself, so I asked another person to stick a simple glass on my iPhone 11 Pro Max using a placeholder.

The process is almost the same as the standard: I cleaned the screen with napkins, made sure there was no dust on the screen, peeled off the glass and, without turning the adhesive side up, carefully and quickly plopped it onto the iPhone.

Do you see any air bubbles around the edges? These may be in the center or on one edge due to an imperfection in the protective glass or just a slightly uneven sticker. The filler liquid fights them.

You cut the “dropper”, lift the glued glass by the edge closest to the “bubble” and squeeze out just a little (!) of liquid inside. Stick the glass back:

Thanks to physics, the liquid “flattens” inside the glass, squeezing air bubbles out and filling the empty space. Since it is transparent, then instead of a bubble or next to a dot it will now also be ... “transparent”.

That's all: no bubbles, minimum effort, perfectly laying glass without flaws. Even if a speck of dust or two gets through, the “edges” of air around them will disappear.

And the tube itself is enough for several glasses. Considering that they are mainly sold 10 pieces at a time , such a purchase will last for many years and will help protect a whole string of next generations of iPhone.

Gluing process

Having previously marked the upper point of contact of the film with the screen, you need to very carefully bend the edge of the film with the number 1 and attach the film to the screen with the adhesive side. It is necessary to accurately calculate the movement of the hand and align the protection parallel to the top edge of the screen. It is undesirable to bend it over a long distance; this may complicate the process due to the stickiness of the film, and air will get under it. Also, it is necessary to glue it onto the phone not flush to the edges; it is recommended to retreat a few millimeters.

Gradually continue to peel back the film and at the same time stick it to the surface of the display, applying slight pressure. If air bubbles appear during gluing, you need to use a plastic card and smooth them out, expelling them on both sides of the screen. It is better to leave tiny bubbles as they are; they will disappear on their own in a couple of days. Now you can remove film number 2.
