New Year's costume for a boy Ninja Turtle

At some point, all the boys become hooked on the Ninja Turtles.

They begin to imagine themselves in their place, so it would be stupid to refuse them to be in the guise of a ninja at the New Year's carnival.

The main components of the Ninja Turtle New Year's costume:

  • belt;
  • shell;
  • blindfold;
  • wrists;
  • forearms;
  • knees.

We make 6 bandages from red fabric (2 for the wrist, 2 for the forearms, 2 for the knees).

Making a blindfold is also easy. Cut out a rectangle and make two holes for the eyes.

The belt in the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles New Year's costume is not ordinary. For him we need 2 strips 1 meter long and 6 cm wide (depending on the size of the boy).

We make a belt buckle from cardboard. Cut out a circle and write on it a letter with the name of the hero.

We cover the circle with tape to hold it tighter and make holes on the sides, where we insert 2 strips of the belt.

You can use a roller skating helmet as a shell.

If you want to sew a unique New Year's ninja turtle costume for a boy, we offer a pattern for you.

It is suitable for ages 7 – 10 years.

New Year's wolf costume for a boy

Animal costumes have always been popular. Despite the abundance of cartoons, they remain so. Still, in cartoons the main characters are also animals, although not always ordinary ones.

To make a wolf costume for a boy, you will need an ordinary gray suit. You can take a sweatshirt if you don’t have a suit.

The color is not necessarily uniform. In recent years, mixed gray and white, with a little contrast, have been fashionable.

One option for food is to take a gray hoodie that will cover your butt, and choose trousers of a different shade.

However, the best thing is still a suit.

We will under no circumstances recommend spoiling the item. All parts that will be attached to the New Year's wolf costume can be removed after the holiday.

Also useful:

  • colored paper - thick sheets of black, yellow (orange), gray and white (cardboard is possible);
  • needles, which are equipped with beads at the ends (you can take a glue gun and fix all the elements to the thing, if you don’t mind);
  • we cut out the eyes, ears, eyebrows and nose of our wolf. The ears will be gray and black, the nose will also consist of two colors, the eyebrows should match the color of the suit (gray), but the eyes will be black, but only the pupils. Their rims will be yellow;
  • You can also use white paper to make paws and attach them to the sleeve cuffs.

This costume can be worn not only for New Year's holidays, but also for a variety of events.

New Year's pirate costume for a boy

What boy doesn't want to be a robber?!

All boys love to run and play shooting, so a pirate costume will appeal to many.

It’s quite simple to make and you don’t need to have cutting and sewing skills. Although, if you know how to sew, we will offer you patterns for creating a New Year's pirate costume.

If you don’t want to waste time on sewing, but want to make a quick and original pirate costume, then you will need:

  • black pants (you can make a ragged bottom for effect);
  • striped socks and black boots (you can do without socks);
  • striped turtleneck;
  • black vest;
  • belt;
  • eye patch;
  • triangle scarf;
  • additional accessories.

To make a belt, you can take a long piece of red fabric and sew it into a belt, or simply wrap it around the boy's waist.

An eye patch is also easy to do. You need to cut a strip of black fabric and sew a black circle to it.

The scarf can also be cut from fabric in the shape of a triangle.

For a New Year's pirate costume, you definitely need a gun and a bag of coins. If you don’t have these, then you can take a saber, a flask or a spyglass.

If you have a toy parrot, it will be a unique addition to your pirate costume.

Put him on your shoulder and off to the party!

Step-by-step photo lesson:

Take a green sheet of paper and draw the silhouette of our mask in the form of a ninja.

Cut it out.

Let's draw two silhouettes for the eye holes in the middle of the mask.

Now, as it should be for every ninja, we will cut out a strip for the eyes from red paper. In our case, it will consist of two parts.

Glue the long part of the bandage directly onto the green mask. By the way, before doing this you should turn it over so that the drawn holes for the eyes remain intact.

Now on the back side, where the silhouettes of the eyes are drawn, we will glue a small part of the bandage.

We turn it over and carefully and slowly cut out the holes for the eyes, which we drew in the third stage.

Take a black rope or lace and glue both ends to the sides of the mask from the back. For small children, you can use satin ribbons as a tie. They will tie better and stay on the little fidget.

This completes the paper ninja mask. This option is perfect for any Ninja Turtles themed costume party or birthday party.

Raphael the turtle is another brave ninja, a character from a cartoon that is relevant to all boys and their dads.
Each of the turtles has its own significant role in terms of skills, abilities, and possession of weapons. But they are all an invincible team, an example of the fact that friendship and mutual assistance are an irresistible force. Raphael wears a red headband, and in his hands he has a personal weapon - a pair of sai. This, in fact, is what distinguishes him from his other brothers. When we start sculpting, we will show a figurine similar to all the other Ninja Turtles, but we will put a red ribbon over the eyes, put a weapon in the hands and give the figurine a pose suitable for it. New Year's Minion costume

It’s not at all difficult to make a New Year’s costume for a boy in the form of a Minion, especially if you have an unnecessary plastic bowl of a good shape or some other vessel on hand. You can also make a costume out of Minion for a girl if she likes this character. Attach your hair to it and follow further instructions.

For the Minion costume you will need:

  • a yellow shirt (in extreme cases, white), blue trousers or pants, preferably not wide, with cuffs. These things will not be affected; the boy will simply need to wear them under his main suit;
  • yellow paint, the kind that is usually used to paint indoor walls. It’s better not to take the outside one - it may take longer to dry. The ideal option is paint in cans;
  • a durable poster (cardboard) or sheet of any lightweight building material that can be found at a construction supply store. The sheet will need to be bent, making it round, but choose only light materials, inside the cavity, in which you can cut holes for handles;
  • blue fabric (jeans are better);
  • transparent tape, as well as black tape, if you can find it (if not, you will have to take black paper to go with the transparent tape;
  • CD or DVD disc;
  • sharp knife;
  • good glue;
  • thick threads, black laces are possible;
  • thick black markers.

How to make a Minion costume for a boy

It’s simple to do, and also interesting:

first take a bowl and make several holes in its bottom; paint the bowl yellow (orange is not recommended, remember what the Minions were like in the movie). Now you should wait until the paint dries; we take laces or threads, thread them through the holes, tie a knot on the inside, and then do the same on the outside. It will be hair, and there shouldn't be a lot of it; We take the prepared sheet and make a blank from it. First, it is better to decorate the product with paint; a spray can is suitable for this. We paint, of course, the same yellow color, and then wait for it to dry; take a leaf and make a circle out of it. The diameter of the circle should be such that the baby can put the blank in the form of a finished suit on himself by inserting the handles into the corresponding holes (we will make them later). When the diameter is determined, you need to glue the two sides of the sheet well

When determining the diameter, it is also important to take into account the size of the bowl - it should fit tightly on the “Minion’s body”; Now we cut out the hands for the New Year's Minion costume. They should be done at the level of the Minion's future mouth

It is through this hole that the baby will examine his surroundings and see where he should move next. You need to cut carefully so that the sheet does not burst. It all depends on the characteristics of the chosen material, but when purchasing, it is better to check with the seller whether such manipulations can be carried out; Now we use a marker to mark the area where the Minion’s mouth will be. This should be done when the baby puts on the blank to try on. We cut it, of course, after removal; Now back to the fabric. You should sew an apron from it, which will be attached to the minion. Aprons, as you remember from the movie of the same name, are different for all Minions, so choose the design at your discretion; the last one is the design of the eye. The Minions have them (or even he alone) on their foreheads for some reason. You can make it three-dimensional: take black thick paper and a computer disk. We make the paper round and insert a disk into it, and then use glue to attach it to the suit: you can also make a bandage in black.

Option 2

Jacket with long sleeves and a hood.

Stage 1

Take the same measurements from the child as in the first option. Transfer them to the fabric and draw the outline of the pattern.

Stage 2

Cut out the resulting parts and sew them together. First, the front part and the back are sewn, and then the sleeves are sewn into the holes. Then sew on the hood.

Stage 3

Tuck the cut edges of the bottom of the jacket, sleeves and hood and stitch, departing from the edge at least 0.5 cm. You can insert a thread with a length lock into the hood. To do this, cut holes in the folded edge of the hood near the collar at the same level. Insert the thread into one hole, pull it along the entire folded strip and remove it from the second hole. Place a thread lock on the thread.

Step-by-step photo lesson:

Prepare for work a set of bright blocks of plasticine, from which we

Roll out a big green ball.

Press on top with your palm so that the bottom becomes flat and the top remains round. This will be the shell and shield for the ninja turtle. Next, armed with a regular toothpick or needle (in general, you need a tool with a sharp end), draw a design on the shell.

Place a yellow cake on the front part of the body (this will be the flat part of the shell). You can either immediately set the appropriate shape of the part and then glue it to the workpiece, or attach a piece of soft plasticine and smear it with your fingers to the desired shape and size. Also use a toothpick to draw a design on the yellow field. Attach two massive pieces for the forearms to the sides.

Make two legs from green tubes, bending your foot at the bottom, splitting 2 toes on each leg in a stack. Apply brown knee pads.

Glue the legs to the body, you can fix the turtle figurine in battle.

Make the head. At first, the workpiece will resemble an ordinary green ball, but then it should be pressed down with your fingers in the shape of a pear. Also prepare red thread to model Raphael's bandana.

Put on a red bandana, press it with your fingers along the entire circumference of the head and make slits for the eyes.

Insert the white grains into the cracks. Cut out the mouth.

Connect the resulting head with the rest of the workpiece.

Attach the lower arms by making three fingers on the hands, adding brown protection on the hands and elbows.

Make a pair of sharp sai from gray plasticine - this is Raphael's personal weapon.

Place the weapon in the Ninja Turtle's hands to complete the craft.

This is the kind of concentrated and angry ninja turtle we have, Raphael. Stay with us, follow our updates, and you will learn how to sculpt all the other characters from the boys’ favorite cartoon.

Progress

In this section we will tell you how to make a children's ninja turtle costume from available materials.

Let's start by working on the trousers and jacket. If you don't have any green clothes at home, take a white flannel pajama and dye it with fabric dye. When the green base is ready, we continue working on the torso of the turtle. To do this, cut out an oval from yellow material.

Sew it to the green jacket as follows. We sew a line vertically across the entire area of the oval. Then two more lines horizontally. It is desirable that there be the same distance between them. We do not sew the yellow oval around the circle yet. When you sew three stitches, you will have six yellow pockets. We fill them with padding polyester or holofiber for volume. Then it's time to sew on the oval. The hero's torso is ready. We cut the colored fabric into strips, which we sew onto the sleeves of the sweater at the elbows and cuffs. On pants, colored stripes will appear in the knee area. If you don't have time to sew them on, you can simply tie them on. We make a blindfold from a colored strip.

Let's start making the most complex and important part. I'm making a shell. It should be voluminous and light so that the ninja suit does not create discomfort when worn. To do this, use a baking dish of the appropriate size. First, paint the mold brown using acrylic paint. Ask the children to do this. They will enjoy the activity.

A light shell just needs to be attached to your belt. To do this, we make holes along the edges of our form into which the brown ribbon will be threaded. Another secret to attaching the shell is Velcro tape. One end of it is attached to the upper part of the shell inside, and the other to the clothing on the back. When both the shell and the belt are ready, we begin making the belt buckle. If you remember, each hero had the first letter of their name depicted on it. Ask your children what they would like to be. Let us remind parents that the names of the turtles are Michelangelo, Donatello, Raphael, Leonardo.

The buckle can be made from cardboard. We cut out a circle onto which we glue in advance the first letter of the name, also made of cardboard.

Our ninja costume is almost ready. There are not enough weapons. You can make it yourself by cutting it out of thick cardboard or buy it separately at a children's goods store.

Tips for sewing a suit

Here are some recommendations on how to make a ninja costume correctly so that you don’t have to change it in a hurry. Our tips will also make your work easier and help you save on material.

  • If you don't have colored fabric and don't want to buy a new piece, use colored socks.
  • If your son roller skates, feel free to bring knee pads and arm guards. This way you won’t have to make them yourself and they will look more impressive.
  • If you paint fabric or a separate part, for example, a shell, wait until everything is completely dry.
  • Attach accessories securely to prevent them from falling off. We are sure that your child will want to show off the costume to his friends and classmates in all its glory, and to do this he will have to get used to the role, jump, run, and wave a weapon.

If something doesn't work out for you, don't despair. Put your work aside for a while and come back to it when you feel inspired. We are sure that while sewing a children's costume with your own hands, you will have many more interesting ideas.

How to make a DIY ninja turtle costume

The basis

If you have good cutting and sewing skills, then using ready-made patterns you can cut fabric for overalls or pants and a sweater. We told you how to sew a children's knitted suit in this master class.

If you don’t know how to sew or don’t have the time, you can purchase a ready-made knitted suit at a children’s clothing store or choose a suitable knitted sweater and trousers from your child’s wardrobe. The only condition is that the basis for the Ninja Turtle costume must be green.

Press

To imitate sculpted abs, cut out two ovals from brown fabric or suede according to the size of the abdomen. We lay padding polyester between it and perform characteristic stitching imitating “cubes” on the stomach. We process the edges of the resulting oval with brown bias tape. Then we sew the finished “abs” to the overalls using hidden hand stitches.

If you use a jacket and trousers as the basis for a suit, you need to sew an additional detail on the front of the jacket - a “cape” made of yellow fabric, which is cut in the form of the front of a T-shirt or top, see photo.

Of course, if you are running out of patience and time is running out, the shell and nunchucks can be purchased at a toy store, but if you wish, you can do them yourself.

Carapace

For the shell, cut out an oval from thick cardboard - this part will be adjacent to the back. We also cut out two ovals from the fabric, slightly larger in size, parts from cardboard and one part from padding polyester. On the upper piece of fabric we mark the pattern of the shell, fold it with a piece of padding polyester and use a sewing machine to line up the line of the pattern using dark threads. Then we sew the top and bottom of the shell by hand, while putting a piece of cardboard between them and not forgetting to stuff the shell with padding polyester or flaps during the process for volume. We trim the edges of the shell with bias tape in a contrasting color.

We cut out straps of the required size from the braid - the shell will be worn like a backpack. We do the fitting, mark the places where the straps will be sewn. We sew them to the shell by hand or using a sewing machine.

Nunchakus

Children's nunchucks for a ninja turtle costume are very easy to make with your own hands. To do this, you will need two hollow cardboard tubes (roll a sheet of cardboard into a tube and glue it with PVA glue), which must be painted with acrylic paint in black or brown, and a small chain that is attached to the ends of the cardboard tubes. That's actually all the manufacturing. If there is no chain, an ordinary strong rope or cord can replace it.

How to make a ninja mask from a T-shirt

For these purposes, an old black or dark T-shirt, preferably made of a material that is not very stretchy, is suitable. Crafts made from it will retain their quality longer

.

More complex option

As in the first case, take a T-shirt that you don’t mind

. After all the steps listed below have been completed, no one will ever wear the item:

You can do a simple cutting of two pieces of fabric. One piece will go to the top of the head, the second to the face. And make a harness with them. This also includes a simple trick with a scarf and bandana. The bandana covers the hair, and the scarf is pulled over two-thirds of the face from below, leaving the eyes and bridge of the nose open. After this, things do not lose their original properties and can continue to be used in the owner’s wardrobe.
