DIY peach bows made from foamiran with a flower made from satin ribbons

Variety of hairpins with foamiran decor

Before creating the decorative part of the hairpin, you need to choose the right frame. When purchasing a metal base for a future hairpin, it is important to decide on its type:

  • For those who like to wear their hair down, small clothespins, crabs, bobby pins or a hoop are suitable;
  • For those who prefer to collect their hair, elastic bands, large barrettes or hairpins will be more useful.

Foamiran flowers on a hairpin

To make hairpins you need: green, peach or light pink foamiran, white stamens, a metal hairpin-clip.

Making flowers for hairpins is not difficult. To do this you need:

  • 1. Prepare templates for cutting out sepals and petals.
  • 2. Trace and cut out 15 petals from peach or pink material and 3 sepals from green (for three flowers). You can trace the templates using any sharp object or cut with scissors.
  • 3. Give the petals relief and shape. Each blank for 3 sec. Apply to a hot iron. Then fold it like an accordion, twist it, open it and pull out the middle.
  • 4. The edges of each sepal along the entire perimeter must be cut with scissors. Then apply the workpiece to the hot iron for a few seconds. This will fluff up the cuts and add volume to the leaves.
  • 5. Prepare a bunch of white stamens. Attach it to the first petal. It should curl around the stamens.
  • 6. The remaining four petals are evenly distributed and attached. So that they fall apart a little.
  • 7. The sepals are attached to the flowers with the curled side down.
  • 8. Three finished flowers are attached to each other in a bunch.
  • 9. You can complement the composition with large leaves curled with an iron.
  • 10. The finished composition is attached to a hairpin using hot glue.

Jasmine from foamiran for MK hairpin

With the help of foma jasmine you can transform an ordinary hair tie.

To do this you will need: thin white and green foamiran, a mold to give texture to the leaves, and a hair elastic.

Making an accessory consists of several stages:

  • 1. Preparing the template. You can print it ready-made from the Internet or draw it yourself.
  • 2. Transfer the template to the material. Cutting blanks. In total for one flower you need: 2 flower blanks (each with four petals), 1 sepal, 1 rectangle (stamen blank), 3 leaves (made of green material). In total, you need to make blanks for three flowers.
  • 3. Processing workpieces with an iron. While the material is warm, all the parts need to be wrapped inside, a depression should be formed in the flower blank, and the shape of a box should be given to it.
  • 4. Adding texture to the leaves. To do this, the cut out leaves are heated, and while still warm they are applied to a universal mold. Press tightly against him for a few seconds.
  • 5. Finely cut the stamen blank (rectangle) with scissors, not reaching 0.5 cm from the edge.
  • 6. Coloring the stamens. Color the edges of the cut fringe yellow using a pencil, felt-tip pen or pastel.
  • 7. Make blanks of stems and leaves from wire 6-7 cm long.
  • 8. Secure the cut fringe to the wire with hot glue and wrap it so that the stem is inside. Fluff the finished stamens.
  • 9. Assembling the flower. First plant one row of petals on the stamens from below, then in a checkerboard pattern - the second row. Secure each element with glue. The sepal is put on last; its leaves should be in the center of the petals of the second row.
  • 10. The stem is decorated with floral tape.
  • 11. Leaves are glued onto a separate wire (pre-decorated).
  • 12. Collecting the composition. Flowers are located in the center of the composition, leaves are at the edges. All elements are secured with tape.
  • 13. The finished bouquet is attached to the elastic band with hot glue.

It will take no more than 2 hours to make the accessory.

Asters on a hairpin

Even a novice needlewoman can make a hairpin with asters.

To make asters you will need: thin foamiran in pink, yellow and green colors.

Manufacturing instructions:

  • 1. Cut a rectangle from yellow fom with sides of 1.5 cm and 8 cm.
  • 2. Cut it into a thin fringe, not reaching the edge 0.5 cm.
  • 3. The inner petals are prepared from pink material. It is a rectangle 13 cm long, 2 cm high. Cut fringe from the resulting strip.
  • 4. To prepare the petals of the outer circle, a strip measuring 2.5 x 28 cm is cut out, and the fringe is cut. The longer the blank, the more voluminous the flower will be.
  • 5. Using a pre-made template, sepals and leaves are cut out of green material.
  • 6. Using an iron, the fringe of the center and petals is heated and folded, then the sepals are deepened.
  • 7. Using a universal mold, texture is added to the leaves. The cut pieces are heated and pressed against it for a few seconds.
  • 8. The flower is assembled starting from the center. First, the yellow center is rolled up so that the fringe faces outward. The coils are selectively fixed with glue.
  • 9. The inner layer of the petals is attached in the place where the middle was finished. It is laid with the petals inward. And the outer layer is the opposite – with the petals facing outwards.
  • 10. When the entire fringe is twisted, the sepal and one leaf are attached.
  • 11. A small amount of glue is applied to the hairpin in several places and a leaf with an aster is attached.

Making one hairpin takes no more than an hour.

Rose from foamiran on a stiletto heel

To make a rose you will need: peach and green foil, dry pink pastel, large beads, wire, hairpin.

To make a rose you need:

  • 1. Prepare a petal template.
  • 2. Trace and cut out sepals and leaves from green foma, and a large number of petals from peach material. The more petals, the larger the flower.
  • 3. Generously paint the sharp end of each petal with pastel, shading it towards the middle.
  • 4. For the bud, separately prepare three petals, the rounded edge of which is painted.
  • 5. Using an iron, heat the leaves, then fold them like an accordion, twist them, and pull out the middle to add volume.
  • 6. Form a drop from foil corresponding to the size of the bud.
  • 7. String the bead onto a piece of wire 15 cm long.
  • 8. Make a hole in the center of the bud and insert a wire with a bead into it. Secure on both sides with glue.
  • 9. Form a bud from three pre-prepared petals. They should completely cover the foil.

  • 11. Make cuts along the perimeter of the sepals.
  • 12. Iron the sepals and leaves in the same way as the petals.
  • 13. Using the remaining wire, attach the flower to the hairpin and secure with glue.
  • 14. Glue small leaves from below, grabbing the pin.

These are small, gentle creatures that bring beauty into our lives. And no matter what time of year it is on the calendar, fresh flowers always warm and inspire. And the beauty of artificial flowers, of course, is that they do not fade and can not only decorate the house, but also “bloom” on a dress and complement the hairstyle. Let's please our beloved girls with a new accessory, let's make flowers from foamiran with our own hands according to the “Cross” master class!

For work we will need the following materials:

  • Foamiran light pink
  • Foamiran pink
  • Foamiran yellow
  • Foamiran light green
  • Petal patterns
  • Scissors
  • Glue gun
  • Three beads
  • 3 leaf beads
  • Gold braid 3 mm wide
  • Nylon tape light green 3 cm wide
  • Green nylon tape 2 cm wide
  • Lighter
  • Colored pen
  • Threads

We cut out flower petals from foamiran according to the templates:

We trace the templates on foamiran. For large petals we take bright pink foamiran, we outline smaller ones on light foamiran. We use yellow color for the center of the flower: cut a strip of 12×1.5 cm. From light green foamiran we cut out a square with a side of 3.5 cm.

Cut out the petals, making the edges slightly wavy. Cut out a sepal from the green one. We cut the yellow strip crosswise into small stamens, not reaching the end by about 3 mm.

We straighten the petals and sepals. We heat each petal along the edge (on the wide side) with a lighter and stretch it a little. We do not touch the narrow part - it will stick to the middle.

We tint the yellow stripe with a brownish colored pen on both sides.

We glue the braid (about 14 cm long) to our future center.

We begin to twist the middle, slightly pulling the foamiran at the base. We cut the stamens in half and glue them to the center at the base.

In this way we glue all 10 stamens. The middle, winding each circle, is lowered a little lower. The inside of the middle is higher than the edge.

As a result, we got:

Now let’s look closely at how to make flowers from foamiran. We glue the first row of petals from light pink foamiran, starting one after the other. Very little glue is needed so that too much does not spoil the naturalness and airiness of the flower.

We decorate the second row of petals using a more saturated color.

At this stage, in principle, you can stop. The flower can already be worn as a brooch by attaching a metal base blank to it (sold in handicraft stores). If you want to make elastic bands or hairpins from foamiran, then watch the master class below.

We cut 14 cm from the braid 3 times. We string a bead and a petal onto each braid.

We tie a knot of braid (tightly near the bead).

We collect the light nylon tape (37 cm long) with a needle, having previously melted the edges of the tape.

We tighten it into a ring, secure it with a couple of stitches and a knot.

Take a second ribbon, a brighter color (2 - 2.5 cm wide). And with it we repeat the same as with the first tape. We fasten two circles of ribbons together.

We trim the edges of the braid (a margin of about 1 cm is given), melt it with a lighter and pin it to the base of the ribbons (you can first simply mark their position with one stitch. If you sew it on right away, you won’t be able to secure the flower in the center).

Take a hair elastic and secure it with braid. We take the rest of the braid back. We fix the elastic band with hot glue.

This hairpin will be a great decoration for your hair in the summer.

For production we will need the following materials: - green corrugated paper. - plastic suede in white and green. - lighter. - scissors. - stamens for flowers. - some beads. - glue gun. - hair clip. - floral wire.

Let's prepare a petal template - this will be a blank of four petals with a diameter of 5 cm.

We need to make 8 such blanks.

Now you need to cut teeth into all the petals, along the top edge of each piece.

For further work, you need to process the flower petals and knead them with your fingers. Take the petals one by one. And we put its 4 parts on top of each other.

And we twist them together, turning them with our fingers.

Then we unwind it a little back and with our fingers we stretch each part of the petal, in the middle.

The bases for the flowers are ready. Let's take the stamens. You can use ready-made ones, purchased, or you can make them yourself from beads.

Glue the stamens into the finished flowers with a glue gun.

The sepals remained for the flowers. We cut them out from 2x2 cm squares. From them we cut out blanks in the form of a petal with 4 leaves. You need 8 of them.

When we cut it out, we also roll the edges with our fingers.

To make a twig, cut the wire 0.8 mm. For the branch itself, 1 piece 8 cm long. For leaves and buds, 10 pieces 5 cm long. And cut thin strips from corrugated paper for gluing this wire.

Now we take leaf blanks and also cut out sepals from 0.8x0.8 cm squares for the buds. In the same way as for flowers. And the leaves will be 4x3 cm in size. Cut out 5 of them. We make sharp cuts along the edges.

We also scroll them with our fingers and straighten them in the middle.

We take a plastic sheet, you can use a bay leaf, and with its help we will make veins in the leaves. You can heat the sheet with a lighter and immediately place it on the plastic base, pressing it well together. The results are beautiful prints. Now, on the reverse side, we glue a 5 cm long glued wire to each sheet. There will be 5 leaves with wires.

Now let's move on to the buds. The sepals are ready, cut out the white petals from plastic suede. For them we use trimmings after cut flowers. And we cut them out in the shape of small droplets, 5 pieces per 1 bud.

We take the glued wire and attach the white petals to its edge with a glue gun.
