Manufacturing method No. 1 (with edging)
To make a passe-partout for a photo or painting with your own hands, we will need:
cardboard, however, you can also take a sheet of Whatman paper;
thick colored paper or wallpaper (yes, this option is also possible);
ruler and corner;
To make a passe-partout yourself you need to have a little patience - it’s not a lot of work, but it’s neat. We have broken down the manufacturing method into simple steps:
1. We measure the finished work for which we are making a passe-partout. Then we take a sheet of whatman paper or cardboard, it should be twice the size of our photo / painting / drawing, we outline a rectangle that matches the size of the finished work (you can simply circle the picture).
Ideas for your inspiration

In general, the passe-partout can be decorated in any way and with anything. It all depends on your imagination, but such a frame will look great!

Monday, May 21, 2012 02:19 + to quote book
Due to certain circumstances, I decided to make a more detailed passport for my large(!) toys.
For hares and cats, no is more likely than yes. But I will issue a document to the sheep and Amineko.
These small 5.5cm by 7cm passports are made from scrap paper and napkins.
(remember my solar ATS and spring matchboxes?)
When I did it, I looked at this MK, but rather for inspiration)))
Tags with a nautical theme are also elements of a napkin. part-time “failed postcard”)))
And since I used scraps of paper and leftover napkins in my works, I want to participate in the task)))
I wish everyone a great mood)))

Passepartout (French passe partout) is a piece of cardboard with a quadrangular, oval or round hole cut out in its middle for a frame into which a photograph or drawing is inserted.
To create a passe-partout we will need :
the work of making a passe-partout by marking it on a sheet of paper in A-2 format.
We take the children's work and put it on a sheet of cardboard (A 2 format)
.
Next, mark the dimensions of the drawing with dots.
In order to connect the dots we need a ruler and a pencil. We will get a rectangle.
In order for our passport to be the same width on each side, we retreat from the corners of the rectangle 3 cm in each direction and put points, then we connect these points using a ruler, we get a large rectangle.
Next, take scissors and cut along the contour.
This is the template we should have a passport
Then, we draw an inner frame, indenting 1 cm from the edges of our A3 format work .
Then, draw the inner frame.
Opposite corners of the resulting rectangle (smaller rectangle)
connect diagonally.
the opposite corners of the resulting rectangle (smaller rectangle)
diagonally.
We make a slot in the center and bring the cuts to the corners of the rectangle diagonally. IMPORTANT! Only the diagonals of the smaller rectangle! A rectangle cut diagonally will look like this:
Using a ruler, we sequentially bend the cut parts outward.
Using a ruler, we sequentially bend the cut parts outward.
Further in the opposite direction to a depth equal to the size of the large rectangle.
Turning over the sheet with the folded parts, we will see the following frame:
