I suggest making a craft for men; it will come in handy on February 23rd. The overall picture will consist of several individual homemade products. But the main thing is to make a plane out of clothespins with your own hands, and then create additional decorations and stick everything on the wall in the form. Very often girls do this for their boyfriends, but this craft will be especially useful for the father of a pilot. All this takes no more than an hour, and not much material is required. Let's get started making these original ones.
Materials you will need:
- Popsicle sticks. — Wooden clothespins. - Multi-colored paper. - Scissors. - Knife. - Paints. - A thread. - Brush. — Flags and other interesting things made of paper (ready-made). — Double-sided adhesive tape.
I demonstrate all the necessary material, as well as the tools that will be useful to us in creating this homemade product.
Be sure to take wooden clothespins; plastic ones don’t look as nice. We'll make two planes, so we'll take two clothespins and paint them. One in red, the other in turquoise.
Take a small, sharp knife and cut the edge off a popsicle stick.
Ice cream sticks can be covered with beautiful paper, and so can a clothespin. For the airplane we will need two large sticks, one small one, a previously cut piece and a clothespin. Cover the stick with tape only on the top, on one side.
Two long sticks are the wings, a small one and a cut piece form the tail. Glue them. And also stick some adhesive tape under the airplane so that you can stick the craft to the wall. In the photo I turned my creation upside down. We do the second one in the same way.
We squeeze out ready-made flags from cardboard and thread a string through the holes.
Using clothespins, we bite the edges of the rope. You can even glue it.
For decoration, make original clouds. So that they complement the overall picture.
And the last thing left is to form a picture on the wall. Glue the planes holding the inscription, and clouds around them.

Equipment, tools, materials:
Ice cream sticks, champagne corks, matches, Master glue, spray paint, knife, scissors, file
Stage No. 1
: Using a knife, cut out the wheels and the front part of the plane from traffic jams
Stage #2:
Using a file from ice cream sticks, we make three parts (one 2 cm long and two 1.5 cm long)
Stage #3:
Using scissors, we make 4 sticks 2.5 cm long from matches.

We assemble the airplane body. Glue two ice cream sticks to the previously cut cork.

: Let's start making mounts for the airplane wheels. We take previously cut match sticks 2.5 cm long and glue them to the inside of the airplane body.

We make wheels for airplanes. We take the previously cut corks and place them on a 3cm long stick previously prepared from matches.

Bed

Popsicle sticks can be used to make a mini easel for photographs. To make it you need 9 sticks of the same size, one even stick and a toothpick. Each easel leg consists of three glued sticks, they are fastened together with a toothpick; the role of a stand is played by a stick attached across.
Desk
Making it will require a lot of effort, and in addition to sticks and glue, you will need cardboard for flexibility and stability. If you add a bouquet and congratulations to the finished craft, you will get an excellent souvenir for a first grader.
Bench
To make a mini-bench, you should take cardboard blanks as a basis, fasten them together and cover them with wooden sticks. Then the bench can be painted and varnished.
Airplane made of wood
For a wooden airplane, plywood is used. If the child is still small, then the help of an adult will be needed, but for 12-13 year old boys such a craft will not be difficult. Externally, the wooden aircraft will resemble the Yak-12.
Prepare the following tools and materials for work:
- Plywood or thick cardboard;
- jigsaw;
- a sheet of paper on which the template will be drawn;
- pencil;
- if you use plywood, then you need sandpaper.
A drawing of all the parts is made on paper, after which all the parts are cut out. If you print them on a printer, you can increase the size.
The cut out templates are applied to the plywood and traced along the contour.
Using a jigsaw, these parts are cut out and the craft is assembled. There is no need for glue, since the necessary elements are inserted into specially made holes. Now it's time to decorate. This part of the work can be done by the child, coloring the toy as he wishes.
Bird feeders
One of the easiest options for making a bird feeder is using popsicle sticks. For the bottom you need to take 10-12 sticks and fasten them together, gluing two sticks to the edges of the structure. For the walls, you need to lay out the sticks in the shape of a square in several rows. All that remains is to secure the rope and hang it on the tree.
Plasticine airplane
Military aircraft are of interest to many boys, so children will be happy to try to make them from plasticine.
Prepare the following items:
- several green plasticine blocks of various shades;
- gray and blue plasticine;
- match;
- stack.
- First, put the plasticine in a warm place, check if there is a stack in the box.
- By mixing several shades of plastic material, you can get the base of the desired shade to create a military aircraft. Next, knead the plasticine ball well in your hands.
- 2/3 of a piece is torn off from the resulting mass and rolled into a sausage (the shape should resemble a carrot), resulting in an airplane body blank: the narrow part is in front of the aircraft, and the wide side is the rear part.
- Roll a small ball of blue plasticine and glue it, giving it an oval shape, closer to the bow of the aircraft. This part will become the cockpit.
- The remaining green plasticine is used to make the wings and tail. The wings should be oblong; they are attached symmetrically on both sides of the body.
- 4 parts are attached to the wide part, their design resembles a boomerang - this is the tail of the product.
Weapon
Crossbow
Using two popsicle sticks, a rubber band, a binder and a paper straw, you can build an original working mini crossbow that can shoot pen refills. You just need to glue the sticks together in the shape of the letter “T”, secure the binder with superglue, it will act as a trigger, thread and tighten the elastic band. A paper tube is needed to fix the “arrow”.
Catapult
A popsicle stick catapult is a fun activity for kids. You can shoot soft paper balls from such a weapon. For the base, it is enough to take 7 sticks, and for the trigger, 2 sticks and a metal bottle cap or plastic spoon are enough. All elements are fastened together with rubber bands, and the lid is attached with double-sided tape.
Gun
A miniature pocket pistol can be easily made using Popsicle sticks. Like a real weapon, it has a movable trigger, and instead of bullets there are rubber bands. This craft will not leave any boy indifferent.
Slingshot
Such powerful and compact weapons can also be made from wooden sticks. In this craft, the main thing is to secure all the parts well with glue and then with electrical tape. You can shoot from such a slingshot with paper clips, but under no circumstances should you aim and shoot at people. It may be dangerous.

Vase
Wooden ice cream sticks will help you make an original decorative element from an ordinary glass vase. The sticks need to be soaked in boiling water or left in cold water for a day. Then use tweezers to lower the soaked sticks into the vase so that they take its shape. At the same time, it is better to lay them with a slight shift.

While working, I used a glue gun, but “dragon” glue is in no way inferior here.
For one plane we will need 4 whole sticks and three halves. We paint the sticks in the color you like. If you decide to give a plane to dad on February 23, then I advise you to decorate it green.
Our craft does not relate to any holiday, so we choose bright colors, in this case lilac and orange.
Let's start making our craft airplane. We prepared the sticks and painted them a certain color, then we wait until they dry. I painted the sticks with acrylic paints, but you can also use regular gouache. While the sticks are drying, you can make a bow from the lace and glue it to the lid, this will be our screw, and a bead on top of the bow.
As soon as the sticks have dried, we take two whole ones and glue them to the outer sides of our plastic cork. Immediately insert one half into the tail and glue it together. It turns out like this.
To put the tail of the plane in order, we need to glue the two halves and we’ll get it like this.
All that remains is to attach the chassis. We grease the edges of our buttons with glue and glue them to the base at the very bottom under the wings.
This is how you can make an airplane out of sticks.
